Wow-I am so glad you made this posting.

I had heard that teachers' salaries were extravagant in surrounding districts.

It is clear that the teachers at LTHS do not earn very high salaries for the work that they do.

I had heard that LTHS was a frugal district and this proves it!

VOTE YES!

A couple of weeks ago the Herald ran an expose on salaries and LTHS had the second highest average salary in the area. Lincoln-Way had the highest average salary but not by that much compared to LTHS. What really struck me about that is how much more bang for the buck the taxpayers are getting there compared to LTHS. Both Lincoln-Way campuses were not only in the top 50 high schools in the greater Chicago land area but were almost cracking the top 25. LTHS is not within sniffing distance of the top 50 although they would certainly have you believe that they are. Thatís the thing tests donít lie only educators do.

Houston we have a problem. Our teachers and our administrators are being paid upper echelon money yet the test results do not reflect that. Why is that? Could it be that they have spent so much of their time campaigning and whining about the need for a new school that they forgot what they are actually drawing a check for?

On this presidents day lets not forget that Abraham Lincoln learned to write using a burnt stick in a log cabin with no computers, electricity or plumbing and he was just rated as the greatest president in the history of this country. He must be laughing in his grave at the whining over lack of adequate facilities going on over at LTHS!

WE ALL MUST VOTE NO AGAIN. ITíS WHAT ABRAHAM LINCOLN WOULD HAVE WANTED US TO DO!

It may be time to educate you a little about our school. Comparing LTHS to all of the 15 High Schools in Will County -

1. We have the highest Average Administrator Salary of all schools at $120,339. Plainfield's is only $97,242 and Lincoln Way's is $118,209.

2. Only Joliet and Reed Custer beat us out in Operating Expenditures per student. We spend $10,136 per student in operating expenses. Lincoln Way spends $9,195 and Plainfield spends $8,514.

3. We have the 3rd highest teacher salary average in all 15 schools. Our average teacher makes $66,105. Only Lincoln Way ($69,633) and Reed Custer ($71,000) are paid more.

4. When compared to all 15 schools we have the largest revenue from local property taxes than any other district. At Lockport 79.5% of our revenue comes from property taxes. Lincoln Way's is 66.1% and Plainfield's is 54.5%. How come we do not receive or apply for more funding from other sources?

Our administrator's and teachers are not struggling in this economy, but many of the families are. This is not the right referendum, they are not telling us all of the facts, they are trying to manipulate the vote and this is not the time to pile on more debt.

VOTE NO!

Wow-I am so glad you made this posting.
I had heard that teachers' salaries were extravagant in surrounding districts.
It is clear that the teachers at LTHS do not earn very high salaries for the work that they do.
I had heard that LTHS was a frugal district and this proves it!

<quoted text> Houston we have a problem. Our teachers and our administrators are being paid upper echelon money yet the test results do not reflect that. Why is that?
Probably because the test-taking children in question are the offspring of you bunch of "Vote No" retards. Genetics don't lie...

Your life is a complete waste and your whole existence is meaningless. People like you are incompetent government dependant retards who think that a larger high school provides a better education. Newflash, pinhead, people like yourself who don't deduct any form of logic, should stay out of this thread. It is dead certain that your child is going to be working at McDonald's someday if he is much of a bonehead as you are. Do me a favor, and ask someone to punch you in the face this evening, because you need a shocker back to reality. Wake up and smell the coffee. Decrease the payroll before any tax increases. You see the numbers at the Lincoln Way schools, and they disprove all of your bullsh1t.

So why don't you shut up, and go look at yourself in the mirror to see what a dumbass looks like.
