So the new chief will cost Illinois taxpayers a million dollars in four years. If you add up all of the double dippers with sky high pensions, does it add up to all of us getting refunds late, programs being shut and in general poor service from the state? I'll bet there are thousands of guys like this in Illinois.

No wonder this state is in financial ruin. It can't pay it's bills, businesses and taxpayers are fleeing. Every time the state credit rating drops, it cost even more money to borrow to pay for the last loan.

Pretty soon all tax revenue will only pay for pensions. Tell all of these politicians that enough is enough.

Because the Republicans in Illinois will run the million dollar govt pension manager you will end up with Quinn for another four years. Note to Republicans...if you run a multi millionaire don't package him in a Carhart coat and Timex watch. Secondly, run a millionaire that didn't make all his money on government deals. Get a real businessman that made his money without government inside contracts. How do we know Rohner is a fraud? He is good buddies with Emanuel and the Daleys.

Regardless of who runs on the Republican side if they do not win the Chicago area Quinn will be reelected. Quinn won only 4 counties (and all but Crook were under 50% of the vote) in the state and still managed to eek out a win. It is unfortunate that the Republicans cannot not muster someone like Scott Walker, say what you will about him but Wisconsin is now running a budget surplus.

Maybe, Bradley from Bloomington is clean. Most of your Republican candidates are as dirty as the Dems. Gidwitz makes his millions being a slumlord(he owns Evergreen Terrace), Oberwiess is just a dopey rich guy that inherited his family biz and this new guy is a ultimate insider with Chicago school pension funds and sweet charter school deals. The Republicans again failed to find their Scott Walker. We know Quinn is about as stupid as one elected official can be, but unless the Democratic Machine screws him and backs this pension fund insider, Quinn will win again.

Kirk Dillard for Guv. He's not rich and he's a good man. He's a conservative and knows government. Wen he worked for Edgar he trimmed the state payroll of a lot of excess baggage.

Bruce Rauner will end this parade of double dipping government employees. There should be a law that punishes local politicians when they hire these guys. Local politicians are a big part of the problem.

No local politicians are following the laws set up and enacted by the state legislature and governor. Want to change the rules? Get rid of Mike Madigan the de facto governor of the state.

I would say that public sector unions are the de facto governor of the state. Their pensions take up most of the revenue and therefore they have the most power. The only problem is when there is no longer a tax base to support this power, the state goes bust.
