You folks are most likely right. Two locations and not enough renters to support them.

You could spin a bottle and head off in whatever direction it points and find a McDonalds. Big deal! Furthermore the last thing the fatty's and their fat kids need to be fixated on around here is another fast food joint. Put the junk food down and get some exercise in.

No, it will not; the corporate McDonald's policy no longer calls for the construction of them.

Having the 'inside' scoop on the two McDs, all I can say is 'Stanford' is NOT the owner of the new McDs as he stated in the first article, and he owns 51% of the the first one. He is clearly riding the coat tails of his mother-in-law and acting the 'big shot'. With that being said....there clearly needs to be another McDs in town, if only for the fact that the people entering the drive thru make a mad race out of it to cut other drivers off just to be one car ahead.

Interesting what's happening in Oakbrook; as a restructuring is occurring; (occurred); they seemed to slough off the old (en masse) and are in the midst of some (really not some) new reorg / new "blood".

From what I can see they are putting together; it'll be their downfall (what mickey dee making bad long term decisions?); but whatever it takes sometimes...

Ha... Oak Brook is putting together their downfall? Lettuce see here... Hmmmm..... Lockport building a new mcdonalds, or oak brook building one classy restaurant after another. We two mcdonalds in a 1.5 mile stretch... Oak brook has twenty classy restaurant in the same distance. Yeah oak brook is in decline. Off to lake shabbona for the trout.

Just a comment from the "peanut gallery" and related to their corporate infrastructure; yes personally some ill defined decisions; with some maybe thought to their future; misguided by some key players; formula was good; but the mechanics are bad....

But that really doesn't have anything to do with a McDonald's coming to Lockport...

BTW - the corporate mechanics was to slough off the old and bring in the new...probably offering some little baby golden arch parachutes (maybe nothing at all though)

1 - reorganization (major)
2 - old long term employees let go...it did get bad with the silos and as typically seen in other organizations; the key players would subcontract for any work and just report up the line...or they would just take a sabbatical when their work load was a bit difficult (leave)(they had/have some interesting benefits) and subcontract someone to do their work when they were gone.
3 - hire a subcontracting company to "fill in"; much like an EDS like thing; many bodies to fill space cheaply for a period of time; filling the parking lot....
4 - hire new bodies to fill the void left over...scraping the bottom of the barrel; guess cheap isn't all that good ...but you get what you pay for....again note that this doesn't have anything to do with the McDonald's coming to Lockport ....

The only thing dip sh1t insider from Lemont doesn't realize is that in most towns, a MCDONALDS coming to town, isn't news at all. Sure it brings in revenue, but in Lockport's case, we will find yet again the town cannot sustain 2 McDonald's. We went through the exact same crap in 95 when we had 2 McD's in a short time frame. The same will happen. Chances are the McDonald's will make the old 1995 Walgreen's/Ace mall look like the other malls in this town.

So for the idiot that thinks this is great news, well he is just an idiot.

Knocking the city of Oak Brook? Yeah, thanks for a laugh you stupid a$shole. They have definitely done themselves a favor. Too bad you can't see it. They are taking risks, and entertaining new businesses. Getting a business to open in Lockport is nearly a miracle, and that is why you are here making such a big deal about McDonald's. Mark my words, we cannot sustain two McDonald's.

Interesting because I didn't really knock the city of Oakbrook

But yeah the last few times I've dined there; I did notice a decline in service; such that I will not return. Much different than just a few years back.

So it fits; just for you; your speed; your fragile tiny little brain of mush.

The last laugh will be mine little man; for the entertainment of watching you ebb away; probably due to some stroke in your tiny little head from all of the excitment you cause yourself.

Think you your keystrokes as transient ischemia depleting bits of your thought process; until there's nothing left; no need to expedite a good show; the slower the better.

OK, I changed my name.$1000 says that two locations will NOT make it in Lockport.
The two McDonald's locations in Lockport are both continuing to do very well: where can I collect the $1000?
