On Father's Day morning 2006 I got the phone call no one wants. My son was invovled in a one-car crash that totalled his vehichle. Both the State trooper from the accident scene and the ER physician said he definately would have been killed if not for the fact that he was wearing his seatbelt. I thanked God that day that my son never disregarded a lesson we taught him since the day he was born; always, no matter how short the trip, wear your seatbelt. I sorry for this young lady's family. What a tremendous loss. My heartfelt condolences.

You are an ignorant welp.'Nuff said. I thank God everyday that my son is habitual in nature and put his belt on not through forethought, but by repition. It saved his life. Why do posters like you have to come on and instantly go offtopic and make personal snipes? Guess you NCAA brackets are blown so you have nothing else to do but post your vicious tripe. Again, my condolences to the family of the young lady who lost her life.

Woman dies when thrown 100 feet in Lockport crash
March 20, 2010 2:07 PM | No Comments | UPDATED STORY

A 22-year-old Mokena Township woman died when her SUV rolled over and she was thrown 100 feet from the vehicle in Lockport early this morning, authorities said.

Kristin L. Smolik died following the single-vehicle crash, according to the Will County coroner's office.

Smolik was declared dead at 2:05 a.m. at the scene in the 14600 block of New Avenue, according to the coroner's office.

Smolik was driving south on New Avenue about 12:30 a.m. when her Jeep Liberty left the road and rolled over, according to Lockport police. Smolik was ejected and was later found about 100 feet south of where the auto came to rest, according to a police press release.

The road was closed for about 3 hours following the crash, and a Chicago helicopter was called in to make sure there were no other victims of the crash.

The cause of the accident, including whether alcohol was a factor and whether Smolik was using a seatbelt at the time of the crash, were still under investigation, police said.

An autopsy was expected to be conducted Sunday afternoon to help determine Smolik's cause and manner of death, police and the coroner's office said.

****This was a good friend of mine. it is a horrible tragedy. she didnt deserve to die. Thank you to the man,ED, who called in the accident and rail road security cam. Everyone who knew her is heartbroken. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane id walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. I love you Kristin.

She was a friend of mine as well, she was as cool a girl as I have ever known. She had no fear. She will be missed greatly, and It's a devastating loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I just call them as I see them. I do find it interesting that the Einstein didn't even need another vehicle to involve herself in a fatal auto accident. Further proof that evolution is still hard at work helping the rest of the populace. Thank God for the little things in life.
You mention God in your post and I find it interesting that you're a believer. What will be interesting will be the conversation you and God have on judgement day concerning your love, or lack of love, for his children!

Is it true that he sh|ts in the woods?
It's easy to be a vile pig hiding behind the anonimity of a blog. Does it make you feel like a big man to belittle somebody else's beliefs?

Never been to Britain have you? Go ahead and yell at me for screwing up if I ask what colour the sky is in your world.

Besides, ask Geddy how he spells his words. You'll certainly be surprised, you presumptuous SOB.

This ain't a blog you Rome worshiping robot who can't think for herself.

This is what is known as a discussion thread made up of posts based on articles that appear on a web site. Aw, F it.... you're right... you'll never comprehend that subtle and esoteric language. If you wanna call it a blog, a blog it is.

God, it's even painful just trying to educate you.

I'm done.... Enjoy your ignorance.

This isn't Britain you overweight cow. This is America. Learn to write words correctly, or GTFO.

Anyways, your spelling skills should be the least of your worries. A fata$$ like must have bigger worries in the cholestorol and high blood bressure arenas! Hell, even your chin is fat, Porker Girl.

Presumptuous? Coming from the guy who knows nothing about this accident and the person involved, yet has to put his worthless two cents in. You wanna call somebody ignorant, look at yourself. I'm sure you're not perfect, and because somebody makes one fatal mistake you have to come onto a forum and feel the need to "Educate" everybody.Well, you don't know shit. Is that how they spell "shit" in Britain?

Mke, would not waste my time if I were you. This James is not a newcomer to these forums, but a frequently reappearing troll, just looking for trouble.

I haven't seen you posting here all to often, so as a word of advice, its either you ignore people like this fata$$, or they get the best of you, and they never go away, and they destroy every last thread on these forums.

I don't much about this "James," but I do know it is a "she," and she used to post here as Just a Porter Girl. See my link in my previous post.(She has a huge double chin).

If I were you I would keep it simple, and send her a quick link to the next Lockport Weight Watcher's meeting, and be done with her.

Its really sick that she trolls on a forum intended to discuss the loss of a very young, local girl. Especially in her family's time of extreme difficulty. Just a Porker Girl must be one insecure individual to stoop to such a low!!!

How sad - does anyone know if Kristin is from the Smolik family that lived in Evergreen Park on Ridgeway in the early-mid-90s? I thought they had moved out this way, but didn't know for sure.
