Just received what is undoubtedly the first of many Kelly Turner mailings.

Only 42 more days until (hopefully) we can vote out several members of the current majority, and enable Mayor Streit to put the "slimmy two" (Turner and No Vote Mary) in their place.

I truly hope we can get Lockport back on track under a Council made up of Mayor Steven Streit and Aldermen Pete Colarelli, Kris Capadona, Brian Smith, Darren Deskin, Jason Vandermeer, and Bob Perretta.

Oh yes, I noticed the grammar errors. Without being too picky, ten glaring errors were evident on the first reading! Oh well, with all that Turner promises to do for the city, shall we forgive these minor errors?

Just vote down the minority council members...REMEMBER ???? You all hated that....but...this is different....SURE IT IS ! Absolutely unbelievable !! Back on track you say.....yep...right over a cliff.

The real problem at the intersection of 159th and Farrel is that it needs right-turn green arrows that allow a legal right-turn-on-red without stopping. It should also have crosswalks and "Walk-Don't Walk" lights put in place.
Installing the red light cameras didn't solve the problems, and removing them didn't solve them, either.
Turner has nothing to crow about here, because he hasn't accomplish anything productive.

Chum or Chumbalone or his thousand other names have been on here since 2005. He is trying to lie again..but not going to get away with it anymore. He can talk about the writers all he wants, because he is petrified. He is a sore loser and boy, does this guy know how to lose. He is a bad egg, the kind you throw in the garbage and get another one. He is losing again because everyone I talk to thinks he stinks. It looks bad for him. It looks real bad. And by the way, a majority is not what any of the good people brag about because they are independent voters. I see on your card you are doing your usual bragging about being head of your team, your slate, your majority, your bobbleheaded people, etc. How stupid is that that they were elected to vote with you. They are stupid, you are stupid and we will not have any more of your pranks! Ps. Why do you have it in for women? Why do you always talk about women and use vulgar language. Didn't you have a mother and an upbringing. I forgot, you do not tell us these things. Don't you like children either? It sounds like you are very lonely and sad. I will put you on the prayer list at church. You need it.

Kris Capadona is a very respectable, intelligent man who will be a great asset to our community. Vote for youth this time around. Give someone else a chance to make things right after the big screwup we have now and the tax dollars going down the drain faster than raindrops. He will work hard and show you that there are better days ahead in Lockport. People need visionaries not useless politicians who try so hard to convince people they know what they are doing. And, you know what, all you have to do is look around and you will see they do not. Check how much this so called group of people have spent for no bid contracts of your tax money. It will horrify you!

You are totally right and I remember the night Mayor Murphy was asked about them and he was against them for that very reason. Yet, Kelly T. and his group of people are taking credit for it. They are so disgusting they should be writing an apology for the last few years what they have done in office. We will expect that apology. HAHAHAHA.

I just LOVED the postcard that my man Turner sent out today!

I am so glad that he won't be wasting our tax dollars to improve our water and I LOVE to roll through red lights, so he is my hero for getting rid of those intrusive cameras!

Also, I can't believe he didn't mention the fact that he was able to get those benches in the downtown turned around so we can keep the sun off our backs!

And my goodness he is such a man for keeping new stores and restaurants out of our town. This town is growing too big too fast.

Oh and lest I forget, he brought back Robinson Engineering so we can get back to throwing our money at problems that don't exist.

Kelly Turner - a record to be proud of!

What promises did Trivedi and Colarelli keep? Oh that's right the one to raise water bills and taxes. I also forgot the one where Colarelli said he would inhabit Topix.

Where do I get my Turner sign?

You can have all of them as nobody but nobody wants one! They have had it, one and all. It is ridiculous what this town has come to under that group of .......... As I said, apology is needed to our citizens for all the harm that has been done and the taxes will never go down with NO development.

I am sure there are plent to be had since there are not many visible in Lockport.

Turner's mailers, at tax payer expense have what looks like a "thumbs up". Do you think he is covertly giving the people of Lockport the "finger"? The "Slimys" have worked the system behind closed doors. Robinson with $658,000.00 no bids and Bert and Ernie with their line item of $150,000.00. How did all that happen in 20 months? Ask the "Slimys" and see what they say. They have been giving us the "finger" for 20 plus months. Now it's the people's turn to give them the finger. Vote for Steve Steit. Vote out Tom Kelly and Van Dyke. Do not support the Turner slate.

Ald. Turner where to start where to start, well it may be nit picking but Denise Marynowski is an ALDERWOMAN; followed up with a nice run-on sentence. In the very next sentence we have the grammatical mistake of it's and the possessive its. Three mistakes in the first PARAGRAPH!

Second paragraph same as the first, another grammaticalmistake and a BIG LIE. The capitalization of alderman occurs only when used as part of a title i.e. Alderman Turner. Now for the big lie. "..we did NOT raise taxes..". I just pulled my 2011 tax bill and took a look at the rate. in 2010 the multiplier for the city was .7719 for an amount 645.18 the multiplier in 2011 went to .8287 for an amount of 678.61. I then looked at the net equalized value of my home which dropped by $1,700. I'm no math major but that looks like an increase in taxes to me. I spoke with the Will County Collector concerning this matter and I was told that each INDIVIDUAL taxing body sets the rate ergo city council. So it would seem as a member of the city council you did raise taxes.

The next two points have so many style errors it's pathetic. Counter point to the red light cameras. While I am not fan of the cameras and while technically true that many communities used the cameras for a revenue generator. What development did you as the leader of the former majority bring the city to offset the loss of revenue from those cameras? Answer none.

Water rates increased this year and in your own words stated you tried to bring Chicago water to the area in 1996 and the effort failed. Most likely a good thing it failed considering that Chicago just raised the rates it charges the suburbs by 15%. But to the larger point. How exactly do you intend to pay for all the improvements needed in the system? Grants are available only if the monies are available and right now Illinois is flat broke. The situation is going to get even worse after that idiot Quinn sets up the insurance exchanges with no way to pay for them. The old adage "You can't squeeze blood from a turnip" is so apropos.

Brought back leaf pick up? Semantics. The propaganda fails to mention that Waste Management which as long as I lived here picked up leafs no longer requires stickers for the bags and will pick up branches. So while yes the vac trucks are still running the ability to pay for those trucks had to come from somewhere. I'm not sure how much the city received in revenue from the stickers but the shortfall in revenue I am sure came from the increase in the tax rate.

The final bullet point, the only thing in that whole piece of garbage that you can hang your hat on and that is the elimination of the subsidy.

One final thought, I see you did not mention Justin anywhere in that mailer. What's the matter didn't want to remind people that he was part of this entire fiasco over the last two years and that he was part of your gang? Even though he's gone its still shows what kind of leader you are are by the people that surround you.
