What the heck is going on around here. My power went out for an hour on Thursday night and last night (Friday 6/29) it went out around 9:00pm and did not come back on until 6:00am today. How hard is it to keep the juice flowing? I had to drink all of my beer before it got warm!

Having just returned from a trip into town I can count myself lucky that I have power. It looks like a war zone and the gal at the Speedway said they won't have power for another 48 hours.

lots of power lines down,
sometimes a location that has power needs to be cut to switch lines to restore power to additional areas.

I saw lots of crews working around the city today
looks like Jewel, walmart have power restored so cold beer will be available

Where is the chipper? Where is the city doing their part to clean up this town? Where are they? Why aren't they concerned with all the debri and fallen trees and limbs everywhere? What is wrong with the city fathers? Don't they want to do the public a favor and clean this mess up? The public has been out there since the sun rose, but no where do we see these aldermen doing their part. Typical robots.

Let us see how long it takes them to help the residents out? That should be very interesting. It is already after five and the streets are closed and littered. The residents have been working their heads off and the chipper and crews should have been going up and down the streets getting all the debri. Of course we do not have the professionals like Tom Ellis who would have been on this in a minute. We now have the almighty imperial wizard directing things by the name of Kelly. No wonder we are back in the sticks! 57 users on here, Kelly...not the two you said. ha, ha, ha! Got you coming and going with your fibs.

As scary as it was last night, it was nice to see neighbors checking up on each other last night as well as today. Walked the neighborhood today and couldn't believe the damage.

Seemed like we experienced a major storm last night and disappointing that there is nothing out there about what happened here. When you're talking about potentially not having power for 2 days, that's major.

Just venting

I am very disappointed in how our city services responded to this storm. We all pay a lot of taxes to live here and this is the recovery we get? It wasn’t even a tornado. You would think they were all on early 4th of July vacation. I want some of my money back on this cockup.

If it weren't for the residents the town would not be cleaned up. It is totally disgusting and reason enough to throw that gang out of office! They are no shows, of course, it might cost a few dollars to clean up and they need all the dollars for their friends. We need to be frugal and not get our services. That is the name of the game! How disgusting is that?

Yeah, where is Pete Colarelli? What did he do to help the residents today. Nothing. He needs to go. I know you all have hard ons about the majority, but this guy did nothing to address the storm in his own ward. I'm ashamed of him.

Yeah, where are you Kelly? You dont have a family to take care of. You only have yourself so therefore where were you? Remember it costs money to get a cleanup. Where were the chippers today? I am ashamed of this city council. Save a penny, save a dollar, cheat the residents, right, Kelly? You need to go. What did you do the last fifteen months except spend money on your friends. The amounts are staggering. We know what you have done along with your robots. You are a disgrace! Quit trying to say you are saving us money when you are chopping our services left and right. You had to put a filthy comment in there, so you gave yourself away, baldy!!!!!!!!!!

It is the filthy mouthed Kt again. He is so frustrated and instead of helping out he is so obvious that he picks out alderman colerelli to talk about. Gee, change your wording, you are so stale!

I left for michigan Friday night around 7:30pm. After the storm was over I received seveal phone cals from 8 different friends and neighbors reporting to me the damage. I had no idea what was even taking place. I live in Bonnie Brae nd have th BEST nighbors ever. They unburried the burried. Took my dogs in when the power went out and yes they too helped the rest of the neighborhood by using their vehicles to tow debri and offer water or rides to those whose vehicles were damaged. I love nothing more then t see total strangers come together as friends in a crisis. Maybe humanity is not lost afterall
