Sure give this fool another bond after he violated his last bond. Now if he can get the money he can be out to celebrate New Years Eve!

Driver who caused fatal crash again charged with DUI

A former Lockport man who was convicted of reckless homicide in 1999 after a fatal drunk driving accident has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence after striking another vehicle on Christmas Day.

Glen Higginbotham Jr., 33, of Yorkville, was charged with driving in the wrong lane, unsafe tires, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a revoked license, hit and run and aggravated driving under the influence — because his license had been revoked for reckless homicide.

Will County Sheriff's Deputies were monitoring traffic in Joliet Township at the intersection of New Lenox Road and Briggs Street when they first noticed Higginbotham's truck.

According to Will County Sheriff's Office Public Affairs Spokesperson Kathy Hoffmeyer, deputies saw Higginbotham's Chevy truck pull into an entrance for a bank parking lot around 1 a.m. on Christmas Day. She said they observed "sparks coning from the wheel assembly." Hoffmeyer added that deputies determined he was unsteady on his feet.

Higginbotham refused field sobriety testing, so he was taken into custody.

Hoffmeyer said that his truck also struck a Cadillac before pulling into the bank parking lot. The truck was traveling eastbound on New Lenox Road when it crossed across the lines into the westbound lanes and side swiped the Cadillac, Hoffmeyer said.

The driver and passenger in the Cadillac were uninjured, but the vehicle's left front tire assembly was bent and there were scrapes along the side of the car, according to the police report taken at the scene.

He was convicted of reckless homicide for his role in a drunk driving accident that killed 10-year-old Candace Graham of Lockport in 1999.

Higginbotham's truck had two passengers in it at the time.

Higginbotham is still in custody and being held on $50,000. His next court date is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 18.

He sure did his other DUI isn't resolved yet so he's still out on bond when he was arrested for this offense. Therefore he violated his bond.

Oh wow, your right. These are the criminals an crimes we need to be prosecuting and warehousing not petty marijuana charges. I was in will county and a man got 8 years for a DUI. A child molester was out on bond and took probation. I got caught with 2 grams of marijuana (which I understand is illegal) and they want to send me to the department of corrections. I just don't see how a grown man can't sexually assault a 6 year old girl and another can drive drunk and kill a 10 year old and get these chances and me get sent to the department of corrections.

2 grams no way are the going to even try to send you to prison. They can't send you torison / DOC for 2 grams. Shows how much smoking the stuff affected your brians. Either they're blowing smoke up your back side or you're blowing it up ours.

They charged me with delivery because both where in bags and the charged me with drug paraphernalia. Romeoville is good for trumping up the charges. The state won't budge so hopefully my lawyer can work his magic. My beef is they won't budge on mine but others there is wiggle room.

Did they get you selling it 2 times each for a gram? If you weren't selling it and only had 2 seperate bags on you then I think they're just blowing smoke until you get in front of the judge. Any priors for delivery? If it's frist time and no priors I wouldn't of even hired a lawyer for 2grms.
