Should Trout visit a VA hospital to volunteer and atone?

After not retracting or apologizing for his claim to have served 4 tours in Vietnam, I believe a fitting way to atone would be Trout to volunteer at a VA hospital. Not to sit in a chair and "visit" with vets but maybe they could let him mop a floor, empty a bed pan or assist a real war hero.
