Wanted Fairways(Sterks) chicken Sunday. Tried phoning, no answer. Went and investigated! They were closed. I didn't know what was going on. Now I hear Berkots is coming! Hope we finally get a clean and great food store!

lmao can't think of a new insult? The lack of originality is stunning. Must be a victim of the overcrowding at East. What you couldn't get through the hallway to make it to English Class?

You skipped the n but I see you didn't forget the -.

What do you mean "all the way to Walmart"? The old Sterks/Fairway and Walmart are only 6 blocks apart. The only cluster f at walmart is between your ears.

It sounds like you want your own store all to yourself, that has everything you want in stock and the sales you want. Go buy the old Sterks/Fairway and live your fantasy.

Sterks and Wal Mart are only 6 blocks apart? What measuring device are you using? And WalMart is a nightmare for shoppers who may want to run in and grab a gallon of milk. You dont see the huge crowds of people at WalMart and the nightmare of all the old people driving around and around looking for a parking space close to the door? Have you been to WalMart? Just getting past the redlight camera is a miracle with the traffic. Why so hostile? What kind of comment is that? I voiced an opinion about WalMart. What do you care if I hare going there? The constant lines are a hassle. Alot of people in town prefer going to the smaller store especially because it was a certisaver. Maybe I prefer to not be part of the homogenistict mass at wal mart

If soon to be former Alderman Morris and tried to be alderman Lance Thies had their way, Berkots would not be coming at all!

Let me get this straight. You say 'alot of people in town prefer going to the smaller store'. Than why do they all close?
Put your money where your mouth is. Go by the old Sterks, restock it, put everything on sale, over staff it and power everything with solar panels.

Look I don't know why you care if some people prefer a smaller closer store over Wal-Mart. It makes no sense. Some people prefer a smaller closer store over mass corporate Wal Mart. Alot of people prefer to shop at Corwin's over Walgreens. Some enjoy a more hometown atmosphere. I can't tell you the numerous times I have stopped to help a senior citizen in Wal Mart because the store is so large and confusing to that senior.
They do not all close-they seem to change hands every couple of years. Whats with the solar panels comment? I think that would be awesome if that happened. My car gets 30 miles to the gallon. I am all for alternate energy sources. What do yu drive a SUV or Hummer? Why are you trying to pick a fight with me over my opinion that Wal Mart is a clustrf**%? It makes no sense. Its an opinion and that has been my experience. The lines are long the parking lot is multiple accidents waiting to happen. It is just not convenient for picking up a couple of items.

that should be you're too easy. I have noticed that you feel free to critique others mistakes but overlook you own poor grammer.

I look forward to having a Berkhot's store in Lockport. They run great sales. I prefer a smaller store to dealing with the huddled masses at WalMart.

It is not six blocks. Real good English there buddy. I believe there are classes at the Ren Center for adult literacy. The adult education dept is run by Dr. Irby. The classes are free of charge. You should be able to fit one into your time constrained schedule.

Whether Berkot's, Sterks's, or any other lower end chain store, the fact remains they have poor customer service and, in my opinion, the health department should shut them down. Have you ever been in Sterk's or Food 4 Less in Joliet among others. It's kind of scary. I may buy a boxed or bottled item from them, but never meat, seafood, or produce. If you feel safe, then more power to you, but I'd rather buy from Wal-mart instead of one of these health hazards.

It is just easier when you need a couple of items, such as milk or half and half, run into the Fairway. Maybe Berkhot's will bring the desired changes. I do have to admit that WalMart has wonderful baked goods.

Wow that takes some balls to write something like that all the while your grammer is horrible. Do you have stock in Wal-Mart? Maybe you work there? Its not like Wal-Mart suffers if someone goes to the Italian grocery store or to Jewel. Berkhot's coming into Lockport is great. Competition is healthy for retail stores. It means taxes for the city, jobs for the locals and a choice for shoppers. It is a store convenient for KG and the old section of town. Your posts are illogical.

You call yourself "second ward tax victim"?

Get ready because the guy you just elected, Kelly Turner, will be driving businesses out of town and decreasing the city services now available to all of us. Thanks for electing that clown. Now the rest of us have to suffer. Although my ward didn't do much better by electing Justin Fentress.
