This is definitely not "realville", a foreign planet possibly. I think they talk that way "out there" in space.

<quoted text>where did you get your degree ? Moron university ? Where is this so called waterfront property ? The canal , the creek that trickles thru dellwood park ,milne creek that flows into the great canal that our downtown is torn up from hurting downtown buisness even more . Hope you didn't pay to much for that higher education !
You do realize that the Des Plaines River flows right through Lockport, right? That is in addition to the historical I&M as well as the Chicago Sanitary & Ship Canal. You might want to check facts before you start name-calling.

if you call that water front property you are just as much of an idiot as the other guy . Hey I know let's go catch some rays down by the sanitary canal or catch fish from the good old calsag ! No maybe we could go swimming in the illinois-michigan canal on those hot summer days or better yet let's go thru private property to access the river . Waterfront property my ass !

I believe, big d 3, that is exactly the point that Hardliner is trying to make. Misusing and under utilizing resources.
But you do manage to prove another point that I have seen so much evidence of on these forums.
Hardliner - although I might not always agree with you, I appreciate your opinion and in particular that, unlike many others, you choose to use your intelligence rather than the barrage of nastiness and bullying that is seen here so often. Thank you!

The same poster will post a million posts on here and he/she thinks everyone is Turner, especially if you do not subscribe to the "Collarelli is king" philosophy he has.

Lockport, like Joliet, is a seedy, low brow, run down, drug infested, filthy river town! Lemont is also in that catagory! Both Lockport and Lemont's governments do little or nothing to clean up the towns and make them worth living in. Compared to surrounding communities like Bolingbrook, these pathetic river towns are unattractive and NOT a great place to aise a family! Then again, Bolingbrook is more akin to Naperville and DuPage County than it is to Will County. Heck, you can tell the difference the minute you cross the village limits heading south! It's almost like leaving civilization and entering the "Land That Time Forgot". Only a blind man couldn't see the difference!

More akin to Naperville? Are you drunk or just stupid? Bolingbrook is a Naperville wannabe. More akin to DuPage? Villa park maybe.

I can think of two types of businesses to fill the void of this OTB and they will fit Lockports current and future demagraphics like a glove.
1) A Salvation Army Thrift Store
2.)An Army Navy Surplus Store.
The way things are going around here it won't be long before the only people living here will be uneducated unemployed wack jobs waiting for the end of the world and in the case of Lockport business that will be sooner rather than later.
