We'll all be glad when this election is over. Maybe when Turner wins, Colarelli will stop infesting Topix.

24 hours a day, all it is on here is Colarelli bashing Turner. Every thread turns into bash Turner. Give it a rest. This site shouldn't be the personal playground of Colarelli's Turner hating.

I wasn't crazy about Turner, but after all of this you gotta admire the guy for standing up to Colarelli's bully tactics.

Umm you've got that reversed and your premature elation over Turner's is laughable.

Wow...now Collerelli carries even more clout in this town. He is clearly the "Kingmaker" of this town. 75 percent to 25 percent is a massive win and demonstrates a strong knowledge of the voter and a devastating GOTV campaign. Turner acted like this was a cakewalk for him. Talk about being in denial! I guess it goes back to the psychosis that he has called meglomania.

Turner's next bankruptcy is imminent. He is already morally bankrupt.

Be careful, you might be listed on his bankruptcy list as a taxpayer. Remember he had NO morals about stiffing his own MOTHER out of money. If anyone thinks he cares about the taxpayers they need to rethink.

Be careful who you call a "meglomaniac". Mr. Collarelli fits that tag perfectly. Oh and that "massive" win you mentioned.....try your math on the mayoral total...75% of 2900 votes is what...?? All this talk about mandates and massive wins is silly. Turner got beat...so what...now we have Mr. Pete 'Clout' himself that will be pulling the strings. Streit OWES his election to his fundraiser Collarelli....certainly NOT to the 2900 voters. The registered voters in this town who did not vote ..were....are...and always will be at fault for whatever happens in this town. We will see how TRULY independent Mr. Streit is as Mayor.....as well as the other newbies on this council. My guess is a resounding NO....Meet the new boss....same as the old boss ! Thought you Streit guys hated "clout"....yeah...ri ght !

Still hung up on the turnout issue. Remember when Turner one as alderman, there was not a huge turnout, when he only lost by 3 votes for mayor, was not a huge turnout. But in those cases, it was the voters speaking when he won alderman, and the voters sending a message when he barley missed becoming mayor. But when he and the rest of the group take a beating suddenly it is becuase of low turnout. Give it a rest already on that issue. I do agree with you if it turns out that Streit is none other a puppet. But again the voters had faith in the last group when voted in, and look what it got us, all puppets even one that chose to move out of town and tried to stay on as alderman. Do you really think that Pete and Darren will be seeing eye to eye on things. OR was it a act put on like when Turner would talk about Balich but then be buddy buddy's.

Either way the voters have spoken, regardless of turnout. Those that did not vote, then have no room to speak out about anything.

You bitter old goat! Say what you want...you lost and lost big! Quit blaming the residents who came out in hundreds to vote for Steve Streit for Mayor..He is the Mayor for four long years......four long years.....you are a bitter old man! Take the defeat you earned it! We are all happy and ready to give the four years to a respectful candidate! He will do well, in spite of you and ? Mary. You did nothing and have nothing to show for it or you would have won and be bragging about your win. You cannot brag, you can only hang your head in shame! Bye, comedy central! Be bitter, who cares, you are not important to anyone! We certainly are looking forward to his FOUR YEARS AS MAYOR! BYE...COMEDY CENTRAL! YOU ARE A LAUGH! IT IS A MANDATE! IT IS SOMETHING WONDERFUL 76% OF THE VOTE! Almost three thousand people came out to vote for Steve! Who garnered the lowest percentage of anyone...the opposition to Mayor Streit! Wow!

He looks at his website every day and can't take it down. He still thinks he has chances of getting elected in this town. Fat chance of that when twenty nine hundred people walked out of their doors and voted for his opponent. No way!

What needs to rest is crowning people, who were nobodys BEFORE this election, as saviors of this town. Did any of the newly elected people EVER show up at a council meeting these last few years to voice their concerns except for a few loudmouths....albeit Deskin who DID show up and speak his piece ? Never heard of Streit, Vandermeer or Capadona EVER....all of a sudden they all know what is best for this town. I could care less if Turner lost and by how much...and the Balich dude has nothing to do with the city council...so who cares about whether they are "buddys". I do care about some new "buddy buddys" on THIS council. I agree with your last two sentences.....just don't call it a mandate to do as one pleases. We all will see in time..won't we ?? I know who I will be watching....you should as well.

Uh oh...Looks like Mike Dum has slept off his late night drinking binge with Dickie and is all riled up about his buddy's HUGE loss!

Listen, chump. Do you really expect us to believe that if the situation were reversed and Turner won by such a massive margin, that you wouldn't be chirping about a "mandate" for Turner to keep up with the sweetheart deals to Robinson and Bert and Ernie?

YEAH RIGHT!

Bottom line is that your group of misfits blew their chance to lead and did severe damage to Lockport in the process. Turner is reviled by most of Lockport and your buddy Dickie is an incompetent fool who was overconfident and thought he had the election sewn up based on what he viewed as his "sterling record of accomplishments."

I don't care how new these guys are to the scene. The fact that they're not politicians is an asset in my opinion.

I'm going to enjoy watching you squirm these next 2 years!

I don't know if you paid attention to the last meeting. The date of the next meeting was changed from May 1 to May 2. The reason is that three aldermen will be attending a lobby day in Springfield. Turner said he wouldn't be available on the 2nd. Then the other three jumped in and said that they couldn't make the 2nd.

I'm hoping that the former "majority" boycotts the meeting. It will be a quiet night.

Does not surprise anyone that they could not make the meeting. We are all used to them boycotting meetings together. OH well, that is why they were voted out, next to go in 2yrs is the remaining. Maybe they will boycott all meetings and never show there face again, just resign, for they are useless blobs taking up oxygen in the room anyhow.
