Dear Mr Turner,

Let me first say I have no allegiance to any candidate in Lockport. My mind is open to my ballot at this time.

I understand that you are running for Mayor of Lockport.

This I wouldn't know had it not been via word of mouth and a few tidbit articles in the Lockport Legend.

In case you didn't know, we do live in a digital world now. I have tried to find your website but have been unable. Forgive me if you have one and I haven't found it. Your opponent has a website ( http://steveforlockport.com/ ) in which he lays out his plans for the future of Lockport, introduces himself etc. I have no idea what your vision is. Where do I find that out? Stump speech at the Landing? Mayorial debate with your opponent? Junk mail? Meeting me for a beer? The fact that you have not embraced digital media scares me to thinking you are one that cannot be progressive in your thinking about Lockport. Silly I know, your supporters will say "just because he doesn't have a website is no reason not to vote for him". Well, I view a campaign as a job interview plain and simple. Not embracing where the future of the world is clearly headed is one thing that can give one pause in the hiring process.

Why should I vote for you?

Do you expect the old Lockport guard to slap each other on the back (and ass)and vote for you just because? What is your vision and how do you realistically plan to achieve those goals in spite of economic and political difficulty here in Lockport?

I am not interested in what you have done in the past. In fact, that could be detrimental to you as your track record in Lockport quite frankly blows. It would be like asking Lovie Smith about his past record with the Bears... We are concerned about the future of the Bears and Lockport not the past. Glory days of old does not move Lockport forward today. To wit: the trip to the 2006 Super Bowl did not get the Bears in the playoffs this year.

I did find this YouTube video online (
) and was appalled. It was a simple question the woman asked about running a clean campaign. You didn't answer it and were finger pointing. I give a sh*t what dirt your opponent was slinging at you. It's about YOU and the future. Maybe you live in a fantasy world, but we here peasants in the fiefdom are sick and tired of the negative, adversarial campaigns we see run from dog catcher to President. Remember job interview- tell us what you can do for Lockport not some dirt on your opponent. When I'm on a job interview I never say:"Well the other candidate...." Very unbecoming. I don't see any muckraking on his website. Let's face it, if we wanted mean spirited politics we could start with your weight ( Two words: Challenge Fitness). It's not about your weight or what your opponent did or didn't do but what YOU can do for the future of Lockport. Period.

I've seen city council meetings and let me be brutally honest. Your actions and behavior in those meetings ain't helping your cause.

Mr Turner, please, show your face to the electorate of Lockport and tell us how you can make Lockport the city on the move without all the politics, gimmicks, good ol boy networks and games.

Is that too much to ask?

Is Lockport an historic city on the move or not and how do you fit into your response?

Best of luck.

G

I am impressed with this letter. It says so much that is for the betterment of our town which we all (except a few) love and cherish!

Unbelievable is the only word I can come up with in regard to what has been done to the Chamber of Commerce. They have done so much with so little and to see them smeared like this is really wrong!

I love this post. You get that Turner to spill the beans on his strategy and then pound him on those ideas the rest of the campaign. Meanwhile your candidate doesn't have to say a word, because he probably doesn't have a plan put together.

I commend this post. It's is such a brilliant strategy and Turner should fall for it.

Bozo couldn't write a letter like this if he tried. The Chamber put him in the dust! That is where his ideas have been since his party took over! Think up some more winners, heheheheheh!

Have the Chamber's letter posted in the Legend. It belongs in the Legend and let the people decide. I know what they will decide and it can be a deciding factor in this race. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly..The first one applies to the Chamber and all of its officers and people who gave of themselves to support this town and its history...the other two belong to the opposition! They have done nothing and will continue to do nothing except try to cause problems and suffering. We need leaders not babies!

I appreciate the letter you wrote to Ald Turner. I can almost gurantee you he will not answer. I am still waiting on him to respond to my invitation to visit me at my home and discuss why he has not fulfilled the promises he made back in 2010. Instead of actually working on resolving issues that affect the lives of the people of Lockport he is too busy researching why someone would pay $10k for a $500 month position.

Don't forget he doesn't tell anyone what he spent when asked at the same meeting, since he doesn't file.
All everyone has to remember about Turner alias the HEAD COWARD, is that everytime he opens his mouth in a negative way about someone else is just to deflect any inquiry into what he is doing or has done. Still no Bio on the cities website on him. Why is that. Ok, so he doesn't have a website, but he can still as a elected official post his ideas like every other elected official has done on the cities website which is for the taxpayers information and paid for by the taxpayers. There have been many questions asked in public during a public meeting that have still gone on unanswered, except for the usual trash talk about another taxpayer or official. The HEAD COWARD, VanDyke,Maryknowski will always find the time during a public meeting, newspaper to trash talk someone, but NEVER find the time during that same meeting, newspaper article to answer the questions asked of them as a elected official. Unless the question is asked by Robinson for more money for a study. Notice how Tom Kelly was not included in that for someone would have to wake him up in order to hear the question in the first place. Fentress ooooooppppppssssss he moved out like a true coward he was. Deskin, hes only there for 2 mos anyhow.

OMG! After watching the video posted in the 1st post of this thread, I noticed there was another video of Kelly Turner on youtube where he was in Homer Township and asked to describe a little of himself....I've heard enough.....HE IS A REPUBLICON!!!! NO WONDER there are SO many people on here bashing him! Now, I shall join you! The LAST thing Lockport needs is ANY Republicon politicians representing any of us!!! NONE of us are super-wealthy corporate moguls! He, Kelly Turner, and any other republicon does NOT have any of OUR best interests at heart! This explains so much as to why he funnels as much money as he can into Robinson Engineering!

I'm curious as to how this person has SO MUCH time to spend on this site. It's obvious she does not work, or, it could be that she's getting paid to work but instead of actually working, she's on here all day and night, EVERY day and night babbling and sharing her most innermost desires of humping Kelly Turner. Or, Is she on welfare, probably on a government supplied, taxpayer paid-for computer? Or maybe disability? She gets disability payments for the carpal tunnel resulting from her constant need to be babbling away on this site? Of course, she's probably just very old as most of her posts sound dementia-riddled anyhow. The only thing I can surmise FOR SURE is that she REALLY lusts after that Kelly Turner!!
