All parties found guilty should be required to pay full restitution including any police overtime and all legal cost that were born by the taxpayers (all pubic services cost). The real honerable ideal is that if you belong to a "higher" status you should realize a higher level of responsibility. Whatever became of the ideals that promoted personal responsibility and ethhics of citiizens of this nation??? We as a nations need to find our focus on citizenship and personal responsibility to be and become good responsible citizens not primadonnas that don't have to follow the rules set out for society.
Wow, you're an angry person, Russ. You must not have children.

I used to live in that community. Lockand police always overreact when it's not necessary. Underreact when it is. They didn't break into the school. One of the kids hid when it was closed and let them in. They didn't destroy anything. They simply moved the library books and stacked them in the hallway. It was meant to be funny. Did you stick in the MUDs ever have a senior skip day or a senior prank? When I was in school at Lakota one of the seniors rode his motorcycle down the hallway! No one was arrested.... We all graduated. Good memory.
Moving the library books to the hall... that sounds like the prank... and the real story.

Obviously they took their "prank" too far and need to be held accountable for their actions, but I don't think that slapping these kids with a felony to start out their adult life is the right thing to do. They need to clean up the mess they made, pay a hefty fine, do some community service and be allowed to move on, hopefully having learned something and able to become productive members of society.

I can't believe the moronic 'parent' trying to justify a breaking and entering. If any of these so called 'athletes' received athletic scholarships the colleges should be notified so they know just what kind of trash they are bringing on campus. With 'parents' like these its no wonder we have so many idiots running around. They should have to pay for any damages too. Typical jock behavior!

The fact is that these students were in the building after hours without permission. I think the cops did the right thing. They were just doing they're JOB, any they are lucky NOONE got shot and Killed. This senior class is just mad cause they were told Not to do anything. I hope all 20plus students don't get to walk.

I would agree with you had they set the principal's car on fire or shot bullet holes in the windows of the school.

Two years ago at a middle school in Chattanooga, there were a few students who decided to distribute cow manure throughout the school. It was on the carpet, walls, doors, and stairs throughout the entire school. Hazmat crews showed up and it took them a week to clean and bleach the whole building. I'm sure when the culprits saw it on the news they just loved it.
