The fire company should be ashamed for these tactics. There is plenty of empty land around that firehouse that they do not need to Take this guys house. The chief and town council should all be fired/voted out. As a firefighter myself I am ashamed to be associated with people such as these. They should be forced to give up their houses and move.

I fail to understand the necessity to tear down a home at the expense of taxpayers when there is plenty of open land surrounding the Getchell firehouse. It doesn't make any sense. Getchell Fire District #22 should be ashamed of themselves. The community needs to contact their fire commissioner and voice their opinion.

Ed and Pat have put 10 years of their into redoing this farm. For what reason does chief HOTS and those pushing this project need this much land??? They already purchased the lot directly across from the firehouse. How much do they need?? Money spent on this, in these times!!! I've heard from a friend who lives nearby and knows some of the firemen, he says that they need better access to 84th----What--4 acres!!!!!! This is govt. at its worst, taking private property for What?? Eminent Domain has been used many times for public projects (for a GOOD reason), but for a better driveway!!!!!! Where's Dori Monson when you need him????
just wondering

I'm not certain but isn't this a historical house? If it is the house I am thinking of it should be on the registry and I don't think it can be touched if it is.
Leave these people alone and stop trying to take what isn't yours.

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Aquarius

Although you're still feeling sociable and outgoing, the Solstice brings the need for a little time to yourself now and then. It's time to temper your busy social life with some precious moments of solitude. Make sure you do, as this need is something important and life-enhancing. It will certainly recharge your inner batteries, which might be a little run down.
