I am a public school teacher. It is very sad to see so many students absent today in light of the recent protests concerning immigration. When this effects the classroom environment it only shows that public education is not of importance to the people involved with this nationwide protest. Regardless of the problems that our adults are sorting through, children should be shown that education is always important.

I completely agree. Education should always be of importance to ALL residents of America. Don't drag our children through your mess.
