What a publication of cowards!
This ridiculous article gets a feedback but the 'sensitive' stories ie. the Sharpton circus are blocked which is equal to censored.
Pretty sad for a liberal trashrag like Newsday.

Yup. They started that this week or last. Funny how they kept the Tankleff one open, though.

Thank god for that bayman being there. I f he had not come to the rescue, there would have been possible fatalities.

It is nice to see there are still people out there who think of others without regard to their own well being.
I am surprised this story was not in the regular paper or on the news and newsday.com was less so matter of fact about someone who is a true hero. It was a heroic rescue it seems the to me that news organizations give more attention to negative stories than this type of selfless act. If he was an athlete who took drugs or had an affair it would have been a more "IMPORTANT" story. I guess that is a sad comment on our society.

Work as hard as this guy and you might have a nice place too (welfare mindset morons!!!)
Did anybody miss the fact that if this Samaritan wasn't there, a number of these kids might have succumbed to hypothermia.
They and their coach were in the water. If this "bayman" wasn't there, how much longer would they have been in the water. Just a few minutes could have made the difference between life and death. He SAVED LIVES that day. Doesn't anybody get that, and is anybody questioning the actions and responsibility of the St.Anthony's coaches that put those kids in jeopardy!!!!
