Because it is true. Get your pen ready for the job application. You will make a fine customer service rep. I bet a blue apron will look awesome on you.

No thanks. I have a 40 hour a week job... it has great benefits and I can take care of my family on what I make. I'll pass on the Walmart application and shopping for that matter.

Although some of these postings are informative and worthy of being here, some are just plain laughable. Some of you people should seriously consider moving to hollywood and writing for Leno or Lettermen.
I start off here by saying that yes...I am a supportor of the Walmart being built in Lima and I am in full support of our town board members. Ok some of you already have your minds working on how your going to slam me and respond to my comments. Go for it, but remember this :

Whether or not they build this "store" with the things that have been said..and you all know exactly what I'm talking about, this "community" will hardly ever be the same.
Although many will try to heal the wounds inflicted by vindictive name calling, rude, immature behavior and foolishness, not all be be mended.
Regardless of your standing on this issue, beleive it or not we will once again go to the same church, shop together at Milburns ( that is if you actually do now ) buy our gas and morning coffee at Kirkwoods, and maybe even share the bar at the Hotel ( that is if they let us "white trash" in again. This town has been segregated and for what reason ? A store? with jobs and tax revenue. This isn't the apocolypse !! It a store. It won't hurt any of the local businesses as much as everyone predicts. It only means they may need to work harder.
Not every job starts out for everyone as a "high paying" job, you need to work at it. These statistics that get thrown around and dug up can be interpeted which ever way one wishes.
Use some good ole common sense..no taxes more than likely won't go down...but it sure will keep things stable.
Give our elected officials the support and confidence you gave when we all voted them in, this is why we voted them in, to do whats best for the town as a whole.
I wish to leave everyone with this one last remark... This weekend during Crossroads Day lets start the rebuilding process of getting this community back as one..if for just a day...Take down the signs ( my Yes Walmart signs will be down for the day ) forget the petitions, forget the retoric and lets all be a community, enjoying the day for what is a time for fun friends and community !!!!

Good luck on that peaceful mission Aug. 5.

Have fun listening to music beside stinking dumpsters (espcially in this heat). They are nasty now, just wait until Saturday. Hop out of your car at Big M or the Crossroads. The smell will knock you over.

You must not go to the Big M much the band will be playing on the other side of the parking lot. If you are by the dumpsters you must be lost (or a piece of trash)

To the August 5th supporter. I know where the band plays. I'd rather enjoy an evening of music without the stench of rotting garbage, thank you very much. You'd think they would clean it up; especially with this heat and KNOWING there was a community event going on.

Bruce you should goto Wal-MArt and buy a tape measure, that way you can figure out how big a 20,000 square foot building is. If you can't do the math let me give you some examples...
100' x 200'= 20,000 square feet
160' x 125'= 20,000 square feet
50' x 400'= 20,000 square feet
80' x 250 = 20,000 square feet
