From wsmv.com channel 4 news : The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night in Overton County.
Sheriff officials said officers responded to a call in the Hanging Limb community on Key Hollow Lane at about 10 p.m. Neighbors were concerned about a suspicious man who was walking around with a gun.
The sheriff said that Ronald Eibel was in bed when deputies arrived to serve the warrant but pulled a gun out and fired the first shot toward the deputies.
The police returned fire and struck Eibel, who later died from gunshot wounds at a nearby hospital.
No officers were injured.
Joe Calvette had gone to the sheriff's office earlier in the day to file a complaint against Eibel, whom he said had been stalking him and his family for months.
"He was going to hurt somebody. Just sorry it had to end this way," said Calvette.

Thank you for posting the truth There You Go. People should get the facts straight and know the truth before they get on here and start posting. People like In the Know just like to get on here and start crap. As for his comment about the officers getting to go home I am glad that they all got to go home. If Mr. Eibel fired upon them first like the story stated then they had the right to return the fire.

In the Know I took your comment to be sarcastic and hateful. If that's not the way you meant it I apologize. However I do still feel that you should not have posted a name until you had actual confirmation as to the name.
