First thing is the dog was not aggressive and both the dogs where in a fenced in yard and got out. I was not there when the teenager shot Daisy and Tuff but I arived maybe 3 minutes before the cops and seen Daisy standind in the road with her inside hanging out and a teenager with a gun. He shot Daisy 3 times and Tuff once. We had to have Daisy put down cause of her injuries. The dogs weren't aggressivejust big babies that have been apart of the family since they were pups.Daisy was pregnant. Yes, Greg told the teenager that he was in the right to shoot Daisy and Tuff. No he didn't have the right to shoot them. He shouldn't of been left alone at home with a gun given what we found out. Yes, my 11 yr old nephew was there when the dogs where shot. My 6 and 8 yr old nieces also witnessed their beloved dogs being shot by a stupid teenager. Say what you want that animals don't count blah blah blah, but the fact is they hurt just the same as you do. Both dogs were sweet and not dangerous. My 3 yr old has ran around in the backyard with them tons of times. Thanks to everyone who is just as outraged by this as we are. You have no idea how hard it is to explain to a 6 , 8 and 11 yr old how someone could be so cruel.

OMG. OMG. I hope you sue the ass of of that little fool and his parents. Great Danes are wonderful dogs. They are big babies. It would be like shooting a child to shoot one of them. OMG. That whole scenario makes my skin crawl. How did you keep from taking that gun away from him and beating him to death with it???? If you decide to sue them, put an ad in the paper with a PO Box or some way to contribute.

Thank you. My family is currently looking into what can legally be done with this. You have no idea how hard it was to remember that I'm was the adult and the guy was a child when I pulled up and seen our baby girl standing in the road the way she was.'m heartbroken over this. My nieces and nephews are still very upset and it is very hard to explain to them why this happened when I, myself, can't wrap my mind around it.

This just makes me sick. How can anyone justify this? I really don't care how many people dislike what I have to say. If this was my pet, I would own those people who shot her. She was this person's property. If there is a leash law in Overton County, then the shooter's dog was out also. I don't see how he could hold a dog on a leash and shoot at the same time. The owner has already said that someone was working on their property and the dog did not even try to hurt them and it got out by accident. What if it had been a poodle or a Yorkie? Would it have been okay to have shot it? The person who shot that dog was out of control and they need to be held accountable. Or are they one of the protected "class" that their parents are members of the Country Club?

And I mean as in he the neighbors also was with out a Leash lovemydog thanks for Ur support! some ppl just look at big dogs as a threat but my dogs were protecting each other for another dog and this dog had growled at my children and snapped a couple of times my dogs have never done that so I keep my kids away from there but I guess that's all right for some ppl on this forum as long as that dog wasn't harming another dog correct? But I'm looking for answers on all this! So if anyone has any help they can give it is very appreciated! Ty
