Now if the Republicans have anything to do with it, you YANKEES will LOOSE all those BIG retirements. Just look at the teachers who have lost it. Do you people realize the teachers are the ones who form the next generation of citizens? They are the ones who teach you children how to invent things. How to make medications for diseases. How to make machinery to make parts in companies. So why do they get pay almost as little as a factory employee? They are teaching your children, grand children and other generations what they need to know to make this country great. They go to college 5 years to teach. So let me tell you that all the big retirements you YANKEES got,may go as the teachers did. Then we will see how you feel.

I won’t say that everything they have done is perfect in regards to teachers, but lets go over this anyways. Teachers do teach the children who are our future. However, today’s teachers are disinterested in doing their job properly. Passing children along without ever addressing the issues they are having. They coach their children on just how to pass a test rather than teach them in a way that is memorable for the children. They aren’t learning anything they can remember. If a teach has total job security, tenure where they cannot be fired for just about anything other than inappropriate activity, they have no incentives to do their job to the best of their capabilities. No other job in this world has that kid of security, why do they think they should?

Teachers today have lost site of what they goals should be. They are hateful and unhelpful. I am not saying that all of them are this way because there are some really great teachers out there, but not like there once was. If you want to look out for what is best for our children and our future you would understand that you need those teachers to realize if they don’t do their jobs, just like anywhere else they could have worked, they will lose their jobs to someone who is willing to do the work.

Do you think it could be because of MR BUSH with the "No child left behind" ruling? Do you think ALL parents get involved in their child's education? Do you think it could possibly have something to do with having to discipline students instead of spending time teaching. I wonder if you as a line worker could keep your production up to par if you we interruped by another employee who didn't want to work or cooperate with the supervisor? So now tell me what YOU would do. When I attended school we followed the rules or we got a but spanking twice. One from the teacher and another when we got home. Not any more. No discipline allowed at school.

Sounds like the children aren't the only ones in need of some discipline and lessons accountablility.

Poor baby. Quit if it is that bad. Obviously you don't enjoy it. So what would be your reason for doing it? Did you ever think that maybe your approach was wrong? I really cannot stand the idea of a teacher speaking of the children in their room the way you are. It turns my stomach to think you spend all day with anyone’s child. What's more, you are blaming the parents or the government because they cannot do their job. Here's the thing you hold the degree not the parents many of them may be unable to help their child. There are issues with NCLB, but honestly Overton County schools struggled long before the passing of NCLB. Other states seem to be doing better than Tennessee. Putnam and Pickett County have the same “discipline” issues and the same guide lines, but they are doing better than Overton County Schools. I wonder why school systems with the exact same things going on aren’t casting blame on everyone else they are doing their jobs why can’t you? Anyone who complains this much about parents and children should not be a teacher. I don’t need to spend one day in your shoes to know that its not easy to be a teacher, but you take the cake on complaints.

Regardless, you are no more entitled to job security than the rest of the world. You chose your profession and again just like any other profession on the planet you must be held accountable if you fail to do your job properly. The fact that you disagree is dumbfounding. If any profession needs to be held to a higher standard it would definitely be teachers and professors.
