Please tell me why you think I'm stupid? I never said anything about a dog looking mean. This is what I said "I don't care what kind of dog you have If you have neighbors you should keep your dogs in the house or keep them in a pen. You should be able to go outside your home and not be afraid of getting attacked by any dog.Pitmomma you sure have a potty mouth.#13 " I never said anything about a pit.I said dog that means any dog! I also never said anything about hurting a dog. You need to read what I wrote because if anyone here is stupid that would be you.The only comment I made that was directed at you was that you have a potty mouth.

hmmmm....your stupid because it would be pretty cruel to keep an animal in a pen or in the house all the time, and if you knew anything u would know that pits have to have alot of exercise and place to run, or any dog as a matter of fact.

there might be some nice ones out there, but the ones i see snarls and jerks at the chain when i am in my own damn yard. i cannot imagine what it would do if it got loose. i have grandkids and i can't let them out in my own yard. they are staying somewhere else for now. i can't just hope the chain hold while some dog is living a life of misery tied up anyway. the stupid thing barks and flips out every time someone walks out the damn door.

i know some of you here are animals lovers and i guess i am too. i've helped every stray or injured animal that ends up on my door step. but this is different, the animal is angry and seems desperate to break that small chain just to get to me or my babies. would you take the chance? do you love them so much you trust them with kids when they act like this? i don't hate the poor animal that has no choice, but it obviously does not belong here. besides if i were tied up and held hostage all day i'd be mad too. i wish it could get away to a place where it could run free.

I have a pit.. I have raised him very well.. i never did anything to teach him to bite or guard the way he does. EXPLAIN IT TO ME? I have had to remove him from the inside of our home and pen him for this and I never raised him this way.. It IS NOT HOW YOU RAISE THEM. He is fixing to get a one way ticket. Pits are UNPREDICTABLE!!!!!!!!!

Pits can be great dogs. My uncle swears by them. What makes them different is their shear power. They are just like any creature, in that some are good and some aren't. But if one ever does get upset with you...well, we've all read about that. If your poodle gets mad, no big deal. If your pit gets mad, then you have to deal with one of the most powerful animals, pound for pound, on the planet. When I see someone with a pitbull, I treat it just like I would if they had a tiger or a great white shark, because they are all ranked near the same when it comes to how much power they can expend.

I have found a Female pit in my yard today. She looks like she is full Blooded. I live in Hilham. If anyone knows who she may belong to please reply back. They must describe her to me before i give her up. She is friendly and is playing with my 2 year old son as of rigtht now. If no one claims her, I am going to keep her for myself. This dogs seems to be very tame. She looks like she is an inside dog because she smeels clean and know to sit and lay down on our floor pillows for our other dogs.

all well in good, OK, some are nice. but the one next door is pi$$ed off it seems. tell me now, would you feel comfortable letting your kids or grandkids sit on front line? i'm scared in my own yard, "nice doggy" just don't make me feel ok. does anyone want to risk their children?

Just be careful, Like people have said any dog can be nice or mean. Just because it is a pit dont make it bad BUT it does mean it has a tendencie to be. I would not trust any strange dog around my children till I got to know it very well.

it's hard to admire what beautiful creatures these are when the only thing between you is a chain. a chain it is desperately trying to break. that's all it has to do all day long, look for ways to get loose. why do you think the bad people use them for fighting? it is something they are born with, they were bred yrs. ago for fighting, just takes the wrong spark to set them off, no matter how good they were raised. they cant help it.

I would not trust any strange dog around my children till I got to know it very well. Its kinda ironic. I posted in my previouse post on the 1st page that i was wanting one. Well I just so happen to have this one show up in my yard. But I think its someones house dog. So im going to try and find its real owner. And yeah im being very cautious of it. It doesnt matter what type of dog it would be. So far i have found out it knows to sit and lay down. It gets along with my 2 dogs so far. "Black Lab and Blue Tick". My neighbor said it didnt bother her cats either. I left it in my basment last night and it did not tear anything up, so thats good. So i think this one is a good one. I do know of their tendecy to snap if they got a tainted blood line or have been misstreated. I can send a pic to anyones email if they would like to see this dog and see if they might know they owner. Thanks
