He and his family will be in my prayers. I sincerely hope he is up and around again real soon.

The weather is warming up and we should all watch out for motorcycles...they are a lot smaller than those of us with cars and trucks, and even tho they have a head light, they can still be hard to see. I've been to way too many motorcycle wrecks and they are not pretty for the most part.

It hurts a person's heart when a motorcyclist is lying lifeless in a ditch or on the pavement because someone didn't see him, or he had to dodge an animal, or just lost control. Anything can happen out there. So let's all be careful...those of us that ride, and those of us that don't. I for one will keep a look out for any cycles that may be out and about. I have several friends that ride.

Another "typo"...it should say, "I've SEEN way too many motorcycle wrecks..."

I guess working nights and getting up too early makes my eyes see things that are not there. I re-read my post again, and I see I didn't make a mistake in the first one...so...there you go...none of us are perfect...especially me.

No. I used to be a fireman, but now I just listen to my scanner. I know several EMT's, and firemen and I do keep in touch. But I'm not active anymore. I will help out sometimes if I happen to be at a scene and if I'm needed.

I see where the Herald Citizen tells the story of this wreck in today's paper [online]. I guess the woman was injured, so she and her family needs prayer. I hope she is up and around real soon.

This was in the Cookeville fourm.

OVERTON COUNTY -- A Cookeville man was fatally injured in a motorcycle crash in Overton County on Friday afternoon, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Donald S. Beck, 45, of S. Creek Road, Cookeville, lost his life in the accident, says a report by Trooper Marty Philpot. Beck was driving a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle north on Highway 135 when he crashed into an SUV traveling the other way. It happened about 3:30 p.m. March 19, the report says.

The other vehicle was a 1999 Ford Explorer. The driver, Michella Choate, 30, of Hilham, was injured in the crash, the trooper's report says. The report says Beck "failed to negotiate a curve" in the highway and veered on the wrong side of the road just before hitting the SUV head-on. Beck was using a helmet, the trooper noted in the report. Troopers Stanley Roberts and Lt. Jimmy Beaty also investigated the accident.

I agree...we should all pray for these families. God promised He would send His comfort in times of need. I hope the injured woman will be back up and doing good real soon.

I really think alot of people need to have facts before they just start posting things its hurtful for both families....there was nothing in the road the gentleman just missed the curve an was on wrong side of the road the suv had not where to go it was on blind hill an he was not flown anywhere ......it was bad for both parties involved please remember that before u post things u know nothng about....
