I was by Lake Linville the other day talked to the new manager. Their making lots of changes for the good sounds like, it needed it. Hes ripped out all the insides and cleaned the place up. Tommy was a good old boy we will all miss him in there but it was time to make this change, repoening Dec 1st. Im looking foward to trying it out for lunch or supper. Now the city needs to clean up the lake and get rid if all the moss.

Tommy cooked great fish at a great price. If you were offended by the plastic lawn furniture, you were too good to eat there. F--- Off then. The prices were awesome for the quality of the fish they cooked.

We'll see. I suspect we'll end up with some over priced garbage like that nasty 5 day old lukewarm BBQ at Renfro. Ewwww!!!

If the previous owners had turned it into some fancy restaurant with expensive tables, plates, dinnerware, etc..., that all goes into the price.

Do we have to tip a waitress now?

Tommy cooked good fish but that's all you can say good about him. That place was nasty as hell inside and out and he didn't even try to take care of it. Ant change would be for the better.

It is a bait shop with a lunch counter. It was never intended to be a fancy place to go have dinner.

I agree it wasn't ever intended to be a fancy restaurant but it was still a restaurant. He could've at least kept it clean. Fancy or not food was cooked and served there so the place should be clean.

I think Tommy is a great person! I think his wife and her kids ran the place down. They were too sorry to brush their hair let alone clean the restaurant.
Good luck Tommy whatever you do next! However, you should really leave your wife and her young-ins at home! They are really a drag and are just bringing you down. She cannot even keep a clean house or keep the kids clean. You deserve much better Tommy! You are a great person!

I ate at the new remodeled restaurant. It is very nice with very good food. All I hear about it is good, they also have young pretty waitresses not trash like tommy did. As far as the tipping waitress comment i always tipped tommys waitress that is what you do in any sit down restaurant. If you knew how many roaches and filth was in the kitchen you would not have wanted to eat there.
Its going to be a very nice attraction place for Mt Vernon, the city and new owners are working together to clean the dump up. As far as the dumpster goes, the city put it there for the trash truck didnt have to drive over the new blacktop. People really need to keep thier comments to thierself if they dont know what is going on with the city and new owners. anybody that dont want it improved must be as nasty as tommy.
Thank you city and new owners.

this is topix . duh. its for comments if you dont like it dont read it, it'll be nice to see how many cars fall in the big ole holes they filled with a little rock, and belive you me it'll happen. move the dumpster, fill in the BIG holes. when you are haulin boats and campers you need all the room you can get and not a bunch of big holes that you can drive into and a dumpster you gotta dodge. it wont keep me away im just voicing what would make a nice parking lot to me some people wont care and thats just fine with me. looking forward to trying the food. best of luck to tommy .
