I wouldn't let the Coastal Commission onto any property I owned either. If you do you are just asking for years of grief and incredibly stupid rules by this group that can end in years of endless litigation to make sure that a green frog isn't stepped on and endangered.

I'd like to hide Sara Wan back in Malibu where she lives. I don't give one small turd what she thinks about any of this. Let Humboldt County determine Humboldt County's future.

A huge roast to the T-S editorial board for not seeing this for the cheap political stunt that it was.

What? They didnt want to go without the Baykeepers and their Bonnie Neely pom poms?

Based on the article, it appeared that the Commission itself was allowed to walk the site, just not the general public. However, for some reason ( a political ploy?), they chose not to do so. The Commission should be admonished, not CUE. No wonder the TS has so few readers. Well, besides, the typo's, poor writing, lack of detail, two day old articles form other papers.....

Exactly. The T.S. roasts CUE VI for "not letting the CC tour the property" but that is not the truth. The article stated that the CC was given an invitation to tour but excluded the general public who have no business to tour in the first place. As the property OWNER, CUE VI has every right to allow only the persons they want on their PRIVATE PROPERTY.

Kudos to all of the folks that have responded to this peice of biased uninformed 'journalism'. We stopped our subscription to the Times Standard because of just these kind of trashy articles years ago, and only look at the websitefor the obits.

Mr. Publisher: NOT GOOD.

Normally Roasts and Toasts get few comments. But I figured the Arkley brown-nosers would be out in force on this one. They didn't disappoint.

Anyone notice how much Progress the Progressives have made on the economy and recession. And they call the Republicans the party of No. Hmmm, progressives = no growth, no clean-up of this property. Hoooray for BayKeeper and Larry GRass and the rest of the Jack-Ass Progressive Democrats in this County.

GOD I CAN'T WAIT TILL NOVEMBER.......

A direct blow to the absolute insanity of the libtardic party is long overdue.

ELIMINATION of the Coastal Commision would be my first choice, and use the money we save to clean up EVERY INCH OF THE BALLOON TRACK.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

C'MONNNNN HOME DEPOT!.....most folks drive out of town to go there anyway....hey, think of the carbon footprint we would reduce by putting a HD in town.

Wouldn't that make libtardia happy?

yeah, this is about the worst example of bias I've seen lately in the Sub. I always refuse their cold-calls for subscriptions and tell them exactly why I don't want that trash on my property every morning: they are the (second) worst newspaper on the North Coast, led in ineptitude only slightly by the Craplicate in Del Norte. It's so utterly sad that there is no such thing as Good Reporting on the North Coast. It's all screwups, politics, lies, mistakes, games, and favors.
When will the T-S be fair and finally roast itself?
"ROAST: To the Times-Standard, for completely failing in its stated mission and for intentionally allowing itself to be of such low quality that a local richie-rich started his own newspaper in response, spending millions to try and bring quality news coverage to the region."
