Does anyone know how the car ended up perpendicular to the utility pole in front of the house at El Caminito and Stanley Boulevard, and what happened to the driver?

No but I would like to know also. We saw it at around 12:45 and then on our way home at 4pm and it was still there!

I would like to know as well. Our power went out at 8:44am, so I am guessing that is when it happend. I called periodically through out the day, and as of 6pm it was still out (we were out at the time). When I called at 8 pm, PG&E had not record of any outtages, so it must have been restored between 6 and 8 pm. I am not too far from there, and I heard no sirens, so I am not sure what happened. You can't believe it unless you saw it.

I live in Livermore not San Jose, so I do not know why it posted that under my name.

Someone going too fast while turning the corner, started to roll and when they hit the wall - collected the power lines and up into the tree. Moving object Vs. stationary object. Looked like the car caught fire. Power came back on at 7:30 PM.

We were effected as well living off of murdell, lost power at 8:45AM, called several times to PG&E we weren't given any info until about noon when they finally said a car hit a pole and we wouldn't have an update until 6:00PM, then we called again and they said they wouldn't have an update until 8pm, but power was restored at 7:00PM. RUMOR was the guy who hit it fled the scene. Not sure how he survived it was pretty brutal of a site as far as the car's orientation to the pole and tree.

PS, wondering where the news was on this one? Every other city had their power outages and accidents covered. Anywhere out there in the news?

Tri Valley Herald reports on areas out of the Tri-Valley - Layfayette, Concord, San Ramon, Tracy. You'll NEVER see a police blotter or sirens log. Must be top secret.

PG & E was in my neighborhood opposite end of town Sunday around noon. I asked him if he was involved (I saw the scene Sunday morning). Here's what he told me: Young man who cops have had trouble with in the past wiped out at 4:00 AM kocking out power to water Co.building nearby which initiated police call. Kid got out and ran home. Cops knocked on his door. Mom covered for him & said he was in bed & said car was stolen. Cops unable to investigate further because Mom would not let them in.(Obstruction of justice?) Kid got away with it as far as I know. If I were PG&E I would hand his Insurance Co. a bill for the damage.

Of course it was not in the papers, they dont publish squat anymore. I will get back to you all once I find how easy, or most likely hard it is to get info like this from the cops.

You almost can't find any news about Livermore anywhere anymore. Guess we're the ugly stepchild. But there's another blog thing that publishes news about Livermore. I found it by accident. http://livermorelinks.blogspot.com/

it wasn't because his mom covered for him it's because his dad is a local law enforcement. Not saying dad was totally able to sweep it under the rug just that he knew. No warrant no entry. Sleep the alcohol&drugs off then talk to the police. No one was hurt. I was scared & hurt so I went home & then Feel asleep. Or stick with the it wasn't me theory either way Jeff got away with another one thank god he didn't hurt anyone.

Is this true? His dad is a COP? Lets see how this one turns out. How long before this dude kills someone. Great job pops. You need to go get that kid a better faster car

My dad actually took a pic of the car when it was vertical, I posted it in the "PHOTOS" forum for Livermore.

That is just great, special treatment for Cops. That explains why when I asked Mr. Livermore Pig about this situation, his pig lips got really tight and would not squeal. Hope you choke on that doughnut and your kid ends up killing one of your kind later with his driving skills.
