During your life, you have most likely been involved with a person who was constantly negative about other people in order to mask their flaws and win your favor. Hopefully, these people are no longer in your life.

The point in relation to soccer is….. over the past year, West Coast Soccer Club has released a relentless smear campaign against the Fusion Soccer Club, which undoubtedly is driven by their Director of Coaching Troy Dayak being fired by the club. The ironic part of this attack campaign is that all of their “points” were based on the previous leadership… which was Troy Dayak. Fusion Soccer Club does have issues and improvement opportunities, as does any club…. But they are focused on improving their club, not tearing down others.

Please recognize that when people have nothing but negative things to say about others, it is usually that they don’t have anything of true value to say about themselves. Don’t let negativity and fear tactics win the day.

Sorry to momentarily stoop to this level. Go Livermore!

Ok so a year later you still can't let it go? We have been with WCS for the past year and have thrived! Best move of our lives for our child's soccer dreams. No we have been around Troy and have not heard him ever say anything bad about any club. I have seen him greet and congratulate Fusion players at many games. I think you are just looking for drama. Be happy with your life and choices and don't create drama where there is none. Thank you ;) life is too short and precious to live in drama.

Our family was on the fence last year, but ultimately decided to stay with Fusion. We did experience the hard sell anti Fusion push from WSC which was part of our decision. This being said, we have a ton of friends who play WSC. We are happy for them, they are happy for us. Done! I think it is the responsbility of all of us not trash each other and move on.
Can't we just all get along?

To the parent that wanted to argue with me regarding my comment to the linesman that he missed an offsides call: Yes, I loudly asked a teenage boy/linesman, "How was that not off sides?" And you came to his defense that they've changed the rules and it was the right call, then you consoled the boy. Then the boy said, "Let me do my job," and "I've been trained." Well son, just because you've been trained in something doesn't make you good at it. When a player is in the offsides position and is not involved in the immediate play, it does not mean that they are not offsides. The player in question was within the goal box and had no player between themselves and the goalie. Even though they were not the recipient of the ball (that player was 10-12 yards away), they were still affecting how our goalie was playing the pass into the box and therefore OFFSIDES!!!

Seriously? I mean, seriously? You're complaining about a supposed bad call for recreational kids soccer on the Internet? Wow. What a tool.

I had a parent screaming at me many years ago for an offsides call where the player was on the other side of the field. That is not offsides unless the play goes there. It was U12 girls rec league.

Please, parents, don't be douches.

So why did your child leave WC? Just wondering and did they go back to Fusion? If so, Did they welcome you with open arms?

yes they did...left because we got tired of the promises and commitments made without follow through, and my daughter actually wanted to play with kids from her grade, and not from other cities.

I'm sorry she had to go through that but glad she was welcomed back. No follow through and false promises is why my kid left Fusion and has found the love of soccer again at WC. In the end its about the kids being happy and having fun. Thank you for answering the questions.:) good luck to your daughter I hope she has a great time. Happy kids are great.

You seem to be an authority of the laws of the game, why not officate? Also since you were probably at your kids game how would you like it to have them referee and some adult yell at them? Take a look at the bigger picture

You must be that idiot Evan Rittmann! LOUD, Obnoxious and think you know the game. Get a life dude! People talk about you at games and how obnoxious you are. How embarassing for your kid and his teammates.

Just read a totally false article in the Patch. Westcoast Fury team is #1 in Norcal?? Ummm, looks like Fusion beat them in spring leage and they of course are not yet rated on Got Soccer so there is no standings there. I am really sick and tired of them coming into the media and posting false articles overstating their success. If they were so good, they would be in the Surf cup down there vs. Albion. Fusion teams beat Westcoast all the time but you dont see Fusion needing to go out and post all about it. This is just the marketing ploy by the perverted Troy Dayak to get that attention he so despertly needs. Read an article that his daughter is going to Sacramento State. Next thing we will hear is how that school is the next Stanford or Yale becuase Troy has blessed it with his presence! Its a state school with NO soccer sucess in the rankings!

Trust me I'm not a WC fan. My kid was used and dumped by them. But Fury did go to San Diego Albion and were finalists. Also it's been 2 going on 3 years now. Time to forget and move on. Both clubs have good and bad. Both play dirty and both are self centered. Pick one, forget the other and enjoy life.
