Where has Peacock Lake gone to?

Peacock Lake used to be a beautiful figure 8 shaped lake. It used to have lots of boaters, fishermen, wild life enthusists and much more. Over the past 2 years it has become 2 small mudholes. My heart goes out to the unfortunate people who have homes around the lake. Those homes which used to be wonderful waterfront homes are now sitting on the edge of weeds and muck, docks standing 15 feet high and 50 feet long only leading to more weeds and muck. The county boat ramp entrance has been chained and bolted closed. I can't even walk my dogs down to the boat ramp anymore. It's a real shame.

My thoughts are that something they have done over at the new prison up the road on 90 has damaged the underground eco-system. When are people going to realize that something majorly wrong is happening over at Peacock Lake, and it's just not the people living there that are suffering.

Please call the county and make sure someone is held responsible for this great loss...

I live beside Peacock Lake, and I'm actually glad that it has dried up some. I don't want a million people in my yard.
