New Hampshire State Prison authorities are investigating an assault on Gregory Floyd, 51, the Easton man who fatally shot cop-killer Liko Kenney two years ago and whose later run-in with a neighbor triggered imposition of a nearly decade-old suspended prison sentence.

I find it interesting that some papers/news reporting noted that Mrs. Floyd was not at the last proceeding. It makes me wonder if the court or Gum-Flappin Pain informed the family (or even Mr. Floyd) of the last proceedings.

Something to ponder, Mr. Floyd had hired and paid for an atty back in 1998. That would have been the atty of record for the attempted simple assault misdemeanor....why wasnt that attorney the attorney that represented Mr. Floyd on issues from 10 years ago. That attorney's name, I believe is now Judge Boyle.

Here is a valid question:

IF Gregory Floyd was assaulted in NH State Correctional Facility for Men, why wasn't his security and safety assured? Mr. Floyd attempted to provide First Aid to Cpl. McKay, and in the course of that was nearly run down by Liko and Caleb in Liko's car. The immenent threat was there and forced Mr. Floyd to take action to try and save his own and Cpl McKays life... Thus justifiable use of deadly force.

So, as a high profile inmate, why has he been so victimized? The first assault which resulted in broken bones (with no medical care provided afterward) and the second where he was hospitalized for (non-life threatening??)massive blood loss and need for facial reconstruction which made him ABSENT for one court date (which wasnt delayed because of the assault...Payne was there without Mr. Floyd). Based on that missed court date, it's easy to see the month in the hospital. What sort of beating isnt life threatening to a diabetic heart patient with other physical disabilities that results with a month in the hospital?
Curious and wondering

DTRT - For someone who claims not know the family, be part of the family, or to have any connection with the family you sure come up with information that has not been posted in the news.

How does that happen?

Snowy,

I fear for Mr. Floyd in NH, even though I've never met the man. I wonder at the judicial malfeasance and the usurption of rights that has occurred.

If anyone ACTUALLY had an interest in JUSTICE in NH, someone would step in and DO THE RIGHT THING for the Floyds. As a part-time Easton resident, I find it appalling that a Judge would tell someone they caused court delays when they didnt and disallow proper council on that basis.

As far as I know, doesnt Shaheen and Gordon represent Mr. Floyd on the Alma Jean Boisvert APPEAL? Why is Pain putting forth anything on that matter? Sounds like some attorney has overstepped his bounds and wonder what would need to be done to stop it.

in the public view, it seemed Mr. Floyd's immediate clearance by the AG's office, and his protection from any consequences for having shot to kill, not just wound Liko Kenney, were (and are) assumed to be generous protection.

to my understanding, that decision was made on a strict, purely legal basis and interpretation.

since then, the missteps of Mr. Floyd have put him in jeopardy...and, unfortunately, at the mercy of the legal system that once protected him.

it is such a complicated and sad story of a 'collision', as once described by an author in the early days.

yes, Deneice...it would seem there is much to fear for Mr. Floyd, and reasonable to question whether his legal rights have been usurped.
i am not a lawyer...and cannot offer an explanation.
it's an untenable situation, at minimum, for Mr. Floyd and his family.

Deniece what is needed to be found out is if a Motion to Withdraw Counsel was filed by the firm of Shaheen and Gordon. That is the only way another attorney could become involved in the case. My personal belief is that Christopher King has posted so much incorrect information as "truth" surrounding Mr. Floyd and his family that he and they will never be safe in New Hampshire again.
Is Mr. Floyd in the general population housing at the jail or is he housed in a segregation section, do you know?

True that. And Ms. Ayotte walks away under the scenario you paint and that perhaps she foresaw. And Dingus is all about getting Ms. Ayotte. Aytotte 2, Dingus 0.

Nevermind Floyd being safe in NH ever again what about the people that live near Floyd and all the people he has said he has killed as well as all the threats he has made to local people and even the SP as well as LE in the area.
I know a man who lives near Floyd and he is scared to death of the man, he was threatened by Floyds actions and his vehicle but will not come forward as he is afraid he will be hurt or killed by the man despite the health problems Floyd has he still uses guns on an ongoing basis every Sunday and when ever he feels like it.
The man is dangerous and thats why he is inprisoned for threatening his nieghbor who came forward after a confrontation and that nieghbor is putting thier life on the line by acting against Floyd.
I feel for Floyd for being beaten in prison but he probably ran his mouth to the wrong people there. He will be lucky to make it out of prison because of all the people and LE he has threatened, in prison and out in real life and prison guards might turn thier heads while he in there since no one is safe in prison because when the guards are told to turn thier heads most of them will. If Floyd makes it out of prison alive it will be a miracle. In prison there are so many favors due to people on the outside and inside he will be lucky broken bones is all he gets. The system is screwed up and he should know this. You don't threaten a SP or certain people because if you ever go to prison there are people in there that run crime from thier cells and are there for life and they have no regards for life and owe people on the inside and out and all they have to say is take Floyd out and it will be done. They have no regard for human life!
Nevermind not being safe in NH because of what a person has said on a forum like this or in a newspaper. If one of the SP that have been threatened say the word he is not safe anywhere.
Thats what he gets for running his mouth...Sad but true!!!

We live in a corrupt world so there are vigilantes if thats what you call them that kill or hurt people because they owe other criminals or even LE for a crime unpunished. This world is a scary place and people need to hold thier tongue when they talk to certain individuals because you never know who is going to call your number and then your number is up..It happens all the time when it cannot be settled in court or settled or your a mean person karma will bite you in the azz!!!!!! Floyd thought he was untouchable I guess but he is finding out there is always someone bigger and bader than you are.
It is like a fighter that thinks he cannot be beat like Tyson, well Tyson found out that people will turn on you lie in court, ect. If THEY want you they will get you no matter where you are.

Three observations:

1. Timing. Damage control from Casey Sherman's Bad Blood.
2. Collusion. Willing to bet this is scripted and rehearsed with back room deals between AG, Floyd and WMUR
3. Fallout. Floyd gets early release

This whole thing stinks IMO. Show me otherwise

1. Damage control from Mr Sherman's book how exactly?
Gregory Floyd never granted Mr. Sherman an interview. Furthermore Christopher King aka Kingcast has had a field day posting numerous outright lies about Mr. Floyd for over 2 years. The man has a right to defend himself under the US Constitution and the First Amendment. The same exact Amendment Christopher King aka Kingcast.net hides behind to spew his reprehensible vitriol comments about Mr. Floyd his family and many other people whom Christopher King hates.

2. New Attorney General and your delusional conspiracy theories are ludicrous to say the least.

3. Gregory Floyd has a parole hearing coming up on 3/5/2010. He is entitled to the hearing under the same laws that put him in jail. To bad you want those laws to work only one way.

We all know how the system works Bill. Ayotte is running for Senate and still has ties to the AG's office. The damage control is for Ayotte, not Floyd.

I'd be surprised if he came across as anything but coherent and sympathic, otherwise WMUR would not be asked to interview him. Yes I said "asked". Those who have actually met the man know he's neither coherent or a sympathetic character. Have you met him? Thought not.

Anyway, time with show us who's right.
