I like the idea of buying local. I also like that NH still legally sells raw milk in stores. People should have the choice to drink it or not drink it. My grandparents had a farm and they ALWAYS had raw milk. Nobody ever got sick off it either!! Littleton Co-op sells it in the old fashioned looking glass bottles. Little bit of nostalgia.:-)

The one that the Co-op sells is from Robie Farm. In the half-gallon size. Not glass jars last time I checked. I think you're thinking of Hatchland and they don't sell the raw milk. I get the raw milk from there and I would be crushed if they ever stopped selling it or tried to price gouge it. I do wish they sold it by the gallon though.....

I wish Robies sold it in the glass jars by the half gallon AND gallon and then just charged some kind of deposit\discount for bringing in the jar everytime you buy another one of their milks. Hatchland does it, but too bad Robie doesn't. I do like the raw milk much better, but once in a while I have to buy something else, if they're out, etc and I'll go for Hatchland as my second choice.

Raw milk is much better. When you pasturize and homogenize milk it breaks down fat globules and changes the taste of the milk. To me that's not "real" milk. Years ago people didn't pasturize anything and rarely did people get sick from it. People were probably healthier then than they are now.

I love the co-op. Raw milk is my favorite. I try not to buy anything else. I was going to look around and see if the Robie's sold any raw cheeses but I forgot when I was there today. I'll have to call them and ask.
