Brennan Flint and his whole family are a bunch of low life's. He is only 20 years old and has a criminal history as long as my arm. Like the other person pointed out they should never have let this scum bag out of jail.

Weren't most of the so-called break-ins done on UNLOCKED cars and cars with windows left down?

So that would be just trespassing?

Well it sort of makes a difference cause car insurance companies won't cover theft from an unlocked vehicle or one left with the windows down. Think about it.

Just like renters insurance won't cover theft if your landlord gives someone a key to your apartment without notifying you. Legally they're supposed to give "reasonable notice" meaning 24-48 hrs at least in writing before entering unless its a dire emergency. If they don't, you have recourse to sue for up to $1,000\per day for every day the unauthorized person had the key. You can also ask that the losing party in the argument cover your legal fees as part of the deal.
