Hey Benjamin from Plymouth. Your post sounds a lot like yesterdays Laconia Citizen Front page story. Did you help write that story? What do you know that the local authorities don't? Did you SEE it happen?

Statements with no foundation should not be spoken, first of all. You were not there, and you are certainly not a forensic scientist. Second of all, if you knew Josh, you know how he gets when he's drinking & drugging. More than once or twice friends of his have stopped him from doing s/t in anger. Thirdly, the courts will decide who is guilty (hopefully). The families involved, Josh's included, need to begin to heal from this. Josh & Jesse were friends. This was a horribly tragic event. Don't make it worse by making statements that are not based on anything but your narrow opinions.

YOU ARE A LIAR. MATT DID NOT TELL ANYONE HE DID THE CRIME. MAT LEFT THE SCENE, WALKED AWAY BECAUSE JESSE & JOSH HAD BEEN FIGHTING OVER BRIDGET ALL NIGHT & HE GOT SICK OF BREAKING THEM UP. FURTHERMORE, JOSH WAS SEEN EARLIER IN THE NIGHT SHOWING OFF THE KNIFE TO BUDDIES IN LINCOLN. JOSH STOLE A DEPOSIT BAG FULL OF CASH FROM A WOMAN AT THE WOODSTOCK INN & WENT ON A MISSION TO GET AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE. JOSH HAS A HISTORY OF BEHAVING IN BIZARRE, IRRATE, IRRATIONAL WAYS. HE IS PARANOID & THERE IS EVIDENCE THAT HE HAS BEHAVED VIOLENTLY IN THE PAST. MAT WAS JESSE & THE HUNTER FAMILY'S FRIEND. JESSE HAD HELPED MAT OUT IN THE PAST. BRIDGET SHOULD BE ON TRIAL AS WELL. SHE WAS THE CATALYST IN THIS CRIME OF PASSION. WHOEVER YOUARE JASON, HAVE YOU BEEN CALLED AS WITNESS. IF YOU ARE GOING TO SPEAK LIES, DON'T SPEAK AT ALL. DID MAT OWE YOU MONEY OR S/T? THIS IS A LIFE FOR A LIFE ISSUE. DON'T BE PETTY & ACCUSATORY. WAIT FOR THE OUTCOME. OR TURN YOURSELF IN TO THE POLICE & HAVE YOUR SAY.

It is the definition of 'hypocritical' to criticize someone for stating opinions or speculations as fact, and then turn around and state your own opinion and speculation as fact. Some of you need to take a step back and think about the situation. The only people who know the whole truth are the people directly involved, period. Since there were drugs and alcohol involved, then maybe even they don't know every detail. Then it's one hazy memory versus another, and then what? The court system is designed to sort out these differences. Arguing from behind a keyboard is childish and pointless. Those who know the families involved should be supporting them instead of arguing about who knew whom better. Let us all hope that justice is served in a fair manner, and do our best to prevent such an unfortunate circumstance from occurring again in any of our lives.

Jason Roper must be in cahoots with Mark Sisti, the finger pointing cowardly lawyer who represented Josh. What a spineless slimeball. He got the evidence against Josh thrown out because the Police did not follow procedure in obtaining it. That does not prove Josh's innocence in God's eyes. Shame on Mark Sisti.

only in campton, just ask ben wright. i want the NH AG to prosecute my next case! great work state and or local police. thanks to wmur and the union leader for not reporting anything! job well done. why would you report the f... ups of the people that give you stories. great non-reporting. someone hits a plow truck in campton, you send your people right out. its nice the state lets you do that. does this mean both suspects are innocent? the kid stabbed himself numerous times!? even though the key witness is the states only other suspect!? i want justice for hunters parents sake. GO AYOTTE keep bringing people to justice.

Silly you. Heroin makes good people do really bad things. Who does not know that? It takes over and completely hides the real person inside. It sounds like he will need a friend or two so it will be good that you will be there for him. Just don't get sucked in to his drama.

silly you, who doesn't know heroin does terrible things. It has everything to do with it. It makes good people do really bad things. It takes over and makes the real person disappear. If this person is on it you probably are talkin about a totally different person than you know. He will need you and I hope you will be there for him cuz the good person is in there somewhere. I pray he finds his way.

I wish everyone on this site could stop pointing fingers and gossiping. Who did it, who didn't, we may never know for sure. What I do know for sure is that Jesse was a wonderful person with a wonderful family. I spent some of the BEST years of my life with Jesse as one of my closest friends. I grew up down the road from him, went to school with him and though we grew apart during highschool I always kept him close to my heart. When he passed I nearly lost it. I hadn't talked to him in years but he had such an impact on my life that I nearly lost it. It was the same for many people who knew him. He was well liked and will always be remembered for the creative, intelligent and genuine person that he was. Why can't people's posts be a memory or a word of comfort for the family. Obviously at least Walker has read what people have been writing here and I agree with everything he said in his post. Jesse's family have to carry this around every second of every day. Stop speculating on what happened. NONE of you were there. I know it's hard to heal without answers or closure, but the answers may never be there. What matters is Jesse, keeping his memory alive, and this is not how he'd want to be remembered. I think of him at least a dozen times a day still. I think of how many people showed up at his service, so many we could barely fit in the church. He was a special person, loved by many. That's how he'd want to be remembered.

Everyone knows who did this, and it is nothing short of absolutely sickening that this dispicable murderer is out on the streets.
You do the crime you do the time right?? Not in New Hampshire I guess.

Yep, Josh Zarnowski, if you are out there, there is still hell to pay for you boy. You think getting off exonerates you?? Not the case, stupid. Like all screw offs and MURDERERS, you will get yours.

No negative comments about Matt Cloutier please. He may have a checkered past, but he is NOT a murderer. And if he was, the last person he would murder was the friendly, kind, and harmless Jesse Hunter. RIP Jesse.

I know Matt and Josh very well.
If the police knew what I know. The right person would be in jail. not in and out of state hospitals. I talked to Matt for 2 hrs one day and he cried and kept apologizing for what he did to Jessie. He said he took the knife from Josh and kept stabbing Jessie and when he heard the police coming he ran with the knife and threw the knife in the pemi river. The police never checked the river and the river wasnot frozen. The river is only 2min from sunset grill. He said he threw the knife in the river no one would find it there. Noone searched the river.
forensics and police did a pour job. Just from me talking to Matt i got alot of information that noone knows about. Matt could spend the rest of his life behind bars. He is more quilty than josh.
The worse part about it is that Jessica the bartender new that there was going to be a bad fight between the three of them and she didnot call police when they were fighting in the bar or when they went outside. someone else did and it was to late Jessie was already stabbed. Why didn't she call police if she did Jessie would not of been killed 1 hour from them fighting in the bar to the time they went outside and had fight outside. she never called police. why? she waited until it was to late. Why didn't she get in trouble for not notifing police right away?

I want to let Anon from Idaho Springs,co
That Matt, is more guilty than Josh. I have talked to Matt 2hrs. He said he is in an out of state hospital. he broke down and said " I am the one who killed Jessie not Josh" I am the one who should be in Jail. I ran from the scene when I heard police and Josh drove off. I am the one who stabbed Jessie and I threw the knife in the river."
the police never searched the river for anything. that should of been one of the first places to look. It does not matter if they are friends or not. Friends kill friends everyday. In gangs or over something stupid like Jessie's case over a woman. he dies. I know a hell of alot more. than any newspaper or the police and forensics teams.

I wanted to add more to this. how come the police never searched the river?
Why didn't Matt be charged with murder along with Josh?
Matt was covered with alot of blood that night. If he didn't hide in the woods and throw the knife in the river. they would of had Matt.
I feel that both of them should of been charged with murder along with accomplis and neglience homicide. why weren't they. Not enough evidence toward Josh which is true. Matt had the knife and bloody clothing along with leaving the scence. Which they both did.
Why weren't they charged with that?
I feel really bad for Alan and his wife and Hunter. This could of all been prevented if the bar tender only called police when they first started fighting not 1 hr 1/2 to late.
No one would of been killed if she called when the fight started happening. Jessica you should be in trouble for not calling police right away. someone else did when Jessie was on the ground bleeding.
I blame you for Jessie's death along with Matt. I know alot more than anyone. including the people at the bar. and police.
Alan, Wife and Hunter I am sorry you lost a loved one a special son and brother.
Justice will be served for your family just as soon as Matt is arrested.
He knows alot more than what the police think he does. he wont talk to police or counselors about it. He knows i wont go to police.
Matt if you read this tell them what you did you will feel better and you wont be as suicidal. please even though you did it. you can't die either. It wouldn't be right just do your time in prison.
Matt, i know your worried about your kids. you have to do the right thing for your family. your kids can't see you like this, and the hunter family needs justice for there son. If you don't say anything i will talk to alan. It's only right.
