Littleton Hospital does not like anyone or anything that challenges it. They've had screwed up billing issues for years. You may not get a bill from them for 4-6 months AFTER your appointment or having had lab work done. Only bill number 1 when they send it to you will ever tell you what you've been billed for. If they send out any subsequent bills it does NOT list anything on it, which forces you to have to call and ask them what the hell you're being billed for. They claim that it is a chronic problem they have yet to solve :-) Additionally they sent my relative home with a ruptured ulcer that was poisoning their entire system from the emergency room telling them that all they had was heartburn and to come back if they felt worse! It's not any place I want to go if I'm sick, that's for sure! They need a total management overhaul and I hope they have a good investigation going.

Same thing happened to me. I never got the first bill from them even though I got ALL my credit card statements, bank statements everything for the same month they said they sent the first bill out. The "second" bill which came 5 months after the lab work was done did NOT list what I was billed for at all, I had to call them. Then they said "Well the first one we sent you listed what it was for." I really don't think they ever sent the first bill because I got my credit card statement from TEXAS but yet couldn't get a bill from a local establishment for the same month they claimed they sent it?! Yes they had my address correct because I made them verify it back to me. Then I asked them if they really wanted their money, why didn't they pick up the phone and call me instead of sending me a botched up billing job? The brightest answer they could come up with for not calling was "Oh, well we don't do that." I told them I guess they didn't want their money too bad that the next time I had lab work done and did not get a bill within 45 days from the date the lab work was completed I was NOT paying the bill. Beware with this hospital. THEY SUCK!

It took them 3.5 months to send me a bill. They use an outside billing service and they never submitted the bill to the insurance company properly. It wasn't done correctly and I never knew about it until I got a full bill months later. By that time, the insurance company said they wouldn't pay it! I made my insurance company send something in writing say that it was improperly done and not done on time. I then faxed it to LRH and told them I was NOT paying it and that they better not ever report it to any debt collection either. They were told that it was not my problem their outside billing service has their thumb up their @ss, I better not ever see any black mark from them on my credit report. Thankfully, I never have.
