Do not buy food from any of these places in Littleton. Expired food can make you VERY sick and even cause paralysis. Discount Foods managers says its OK to eat the food they sell way past expiration date but its not. You can get Botulism which is a nerve toxin that can cause headaches, blurred vision and paralysis! Discount Foods should be permanently shut down in my opinion.

I dont buy food from those places cause I know alot of its expired. Dollar Tree regularly sells expired batteries too. The rayovac ones, the Panasonic ones seem to have good dates on them. Last time I went in there there was a TON of the expired Rayovac ones. I said something to them about it and they didnt even do anything about it, I went in 3 weeks later and they were still all there! Some of Dollar Tree snacks, the Little Debbie ones are either expired or within 2 days of expiring. You have to be really careful.

Dollar Tree is a dive. I've been in there a few times and won't go back. Stuff was ridiculously old, enough so I didn't feel comfortable buying it.

That's all this store is, a great way to get some botulism, listeria or more. The store is not that clean. I'd rather shop sales at Shaws and use coupons for stuff I buy there all the time than take a chance on some mangy looking store.

The Wholesale Discount Foods store is a dump. As other posters mentioned its not that clean, the food is way past expired and its sketchy to buy it. The person running it acted pissed off when I asked if they had anything with a better date on it.

I go there sometimes. And this is not true of what some people think about everything being bad . Not everything has a bad date at every dollar tree. Maybe at some yes. Not every one of them does. You just gotta look at the stuff for an exp. date. Sometimes I buy candy from there for things because it's so much cheaper & actually at alot of them you can get good deals. None of it was ever bad. It was fresh the people ate it & never got sick or had issues. If you don't wanna spend much money & on a budget dollar tree is the way to go. I bought halloween syuff from there & use some of it every year etc. None of it was bad or broken. You just gotta watch what you buy & look at stuff. Don't buy like cardboard things from there for holidays. Go somewhere else. They break in just oneday :( You gotta watch out for re-calls etc. Which they don't have many as most places. Just keep both eyes open & listen for things.

lovely gal, i know what you mean. I find good snack stuff at Dollar Tree, swedish fish and other stuff that's more expensive everywhere else. I am ok with that. What I don't like is that a while back almost ALL of the batteries they sell (like other posters mentioned) were all expired. I try to get them at the Dollar Tree cause I dont want to spend $8 for a 8 pack of AA batteries at Walmart!

I will say this though, Warehouse Discount Foods store is a totally nasty, skanky place to buy anything. Every food item and bath product they sell in there is older than DIRT. I've seen canned items 6-8 months past the expiration date. I wont even buy things within 3 days of expiring, let alone 2 MONTHS past expired.
