Big Town Meeting issues best decided at ballot box, Littleton man says
#1 Oct 22, 2010
I apprecite this Sun article and would like to clarify an important point.
My objective is to improve town participation in voting in the Town business meeting, by voting on Election Day ballot, which draws 2,000 residents. There is concievable way to improve TM voting attendance in a hall for 300.
The Vermont Secretary of State reports a 47% increase in voting in VT communities adopting the secret ballot concept on a day other than TM, which something 200 VT communities have done.
