Under the heading: Creationism vs. Darwin ...
Q. What should be included as "part of the public school science curriculum"?
A. In the science curriculum, let's teach Cutting-Edge science, such as:

- Molecules-to-man evolutionism violates the Law of Biogenesis: Life does NOT come from non-life.

- The specific complexity of genetic information in the genome does not increase spontaneously. Therefore, there is no natural process whereby reptiles can turn into birds, land mammals into whales, or chimpanzees into human beings.

- Many worldwide natural processes indicate an age for the earth of 10,000 years or less. These include population kinetics, influx of radiocarbon into earth’s atmosphere, absence of meteorites from the geologic column, and decay of earth’s magnetic field.

JosephU,

Let me correct a few of your statements for you.

You said - "Molecules-to-man evolutionism violates the Law of Biogenesis: Life does NOT come from non-life."

Correction - on two counts, firstly evolutionary theory does not deal with origins. It only deals with life after it appeared. Scientific theories deal with specific sets of fact. An umbrella can not be called deficient because it can't predict hurricanes. Secondly, there is significant work being put forth on abiogenesis - please see this link for a video example:

You Said "The specific complexity of genetic information in the genome does not increase spontaneously. Therefore, there is no natural process whereby reptiles can turn into birds, land mammals into whales, or chimpanzees into human beings"

Correction - We have observed the evolution of
increased genetic variety

in a population (Lenski 1995; Lenski et al. 1991)
increased genetic material (Alves et al. 2001; Brown et al. 1998; Hughes and Friedman 2003; Lynch and Conery 2000; Ohta 2003)
novel genetic material (Knox et al. 1996; Park et al. 1996)
novel genetically-regulated abilities (Prijambada et al. 1995)

in addition see http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CB/CB102.h...

You Said - "Many worldwide natural processes indicate an age for the earth of 10,000 years or les"

Correction - The oldest rocks which have been found so far (on the Earth) date to about 3.8 to 3.9 billion years ago (by several radiometric dating methods). Some of these rocks are sedimentary, and include minerals which are themselves as old as 4.1 to 4.2 billion years. Rocks of this age are relatively rare, however rocks that are at least 3.5 billion years in age have been found on North America, Greenland, Australia, Africa, and Asia.

While these values do not compute an age for the Earth, they do establish a lower limit (the Earth must be at least as old as any formation on it). This lower limit is at least concordant with the independently derived figure of 4.55 billion years for the Earth's actual age.

A link with much more data and specific refutations of the erroneous information given above can be found at:

http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-age-of-ea...

That should be sufficient for the time being.

Jen Benson acted very childish and unprofessional. Let the voters watch the debate and let them decide for themselves. I don't want her representing me!!

Being a Beacon Hill insider isn't about how long you've been in office, it's how you campaign one way "no tax increases", "I'm against casinos", and then go to Beacon Hill and go along with the single-party rule crowd...voting with the Speaker 94% of the time and flip-flopping on what you you promised your constituents. It's also about getting your facts wrong (an accident or on purpose???) in order to make your case.
