Here we have another high priced official and he is spending our tax dollars and his time on facebook and Twitter. Fire the clown.

Here is a town that is in debt, looking to build tracks, library, DPW and has no way to pay for any of it and this nitwhit is twittering.

No wonder the town is in such bad shape.

A town of 9,000 people doesn't need ANY immediate updates. Anything that needs to get posted is put on the website or bulletin board out back. Put the phone "DOWN" Bergman and make BETTER USE OF MY TAXPAYER DOLLARS! If there ever was an emergency, WHO in their right mind would go to Twitter? Nobody. The site is a waste of time for the TECHIE DORKS like Bergman.

No one said the town is in debt, and no one said this requires tax dollars. Even if the tweets are on a town-owned phone this use does not increase the cost. I appreciate our town using all methods of communication because I don't always have time to check bulletin boards and websites. These comments sound like they are from a bunch of whining seniors who have no foresight and are stuck in the dark ages.

Such a total waste of time and to say nothing of taxpayers' money to have this nerd twittering , tweeking , facebooking, and in other words playing with his toys instead of working. No wonder towns are in trouble if this is the like of who is running them.

Why not get a job in a toy store?

By the way, as a senior I am computer literate but I will not rely on the likes of this nerd to keep me informed.

Social media use is on the rise in Lowell and it’s great to see our local government officials start to embrace it. Tools like Twitter and Facebook are great ways to connect with other people in the community. http://bit.ly/brkzKV
