Just saying and I think ray's mom just worded it badly...I think and I could be wrong....that she meant these places do not have the resources to subject employees to a good enough screening process to keep a holes like this one out!!!!!

So since you have the inside scoop, why don't you enlighten me as to the qualifications and processes that they employ in order to ensure that employees are legitimate. It's very irritating to me that so much criticism is occurring without the appropriate level of knowledge needed to make accurate assumptions. Matt hurt many residents, but he also hurt the staff that pour their hearts in to their jobs because Matt caused an enormous breach in trust that bled through to the rest of the staff, who continue to have to pay for his actions despite being nothing like him. So please don't criticize facilities who have the clients' best interests at heart unless you are qualified to do so.

Third way does both an FBI background check and a Colorado Statewide check. Matt passed both. He had no prior history. He also worked at a jail prior to this, and was subject to their background checks as well.

Wow. I see this is an emotional issue since reading and comprehending seem difficult.

I was saying that something, that probably costs money which most programs lack that help serve youth, should be in place to keep people like said Matt form being a part of. Not only has he hurt children but the Center, it's reputation, yours and all the staff members and youth that needed it's services.

apparently he wasn't investigated with fair warning that he was on a path of outright awful and deviant behavior, and was allowed to continue working with young women....

The sentencing was today. Does anyone know the outcome?

his sentancing is monday.. he plead to a 2nd degree misdemeanor. maximum sentance is 12 months, he's served almost 7. they will probally let him walk.. good times...

FYI all the charges were dropped except a 2nd degree obscenity misdemeanor charge which he got 180 days in jail already served. He was released this am.

released back into society. given freedom to resume his awful activities of manipulating women. well, at least all of this will appear on background checks and has hopefully left no chance for him to keep up with his chosen profession. the sad part is I know there are women out there that will listen to him over the background info and still believe his lies and get caught up in his web. so so sad...

I'm a vinelink member. They call you when an inmate is released. I got a call on the 23rd saying he was no longer in custody. You can also go to www.denvergov.org/apps/newcourt/name_search.a... and put in their first and last name. They will have the charge, what he plead, what the sentance was and if the person is still there or not. Then you can call Denver County and ask if he still there if you don't believe me.

I'll even cut and paste if for you..

You are right about one thing, he's not at the county jail anymore but he's not out, he's on his way to prison for 3 years. All your info is based on his misdemeanor charge, there was a felony as well. Maybe now its time to move forward and leave this all in the past. Its time for all to heal and live life.

and just FYI, this is what the DOC is saying about the felony charge.. You'll notice it ends in august. When I saw him he said they were running them concurrent. That he was plea bargaining.
