Marriage is between one white Christian male and one white Christian female. Not one man and one man or one man and three women.

I will be voting for neither the Muslim nor the Mormon. I will be voting for the only true Christian running for President.

In 1896, an American court ruling, resulting from the Plessy vs. Ferguson case, meant that African American were allowed to marry each other.

However, they were still unable to marry white people. This continued until 1967, when the Loving v. Virginia case resulted in the Supreme Court, putting an end to anti-miscegenation laws across America.

In the United States, anti-miscegenation laws (also known as miscegenation laws) were state laws passed by individual states to prohibit miscegenation, nowadays more commonly referred to as interracial marriage and interracial sex. Typically defining miscegenation as a felony, these laws prohibited the solemnization of weddings between persons of different races and prohibited the officiating of such ceremonies. Sometimes, the individuals attempting to marry would not be held guilty of miscegenation itself, but felony charges of adultery or fornication would be brought against them instead. All anti-miscegenation laws banned the marriage of whites and non-white groups, primarily blacks, but often also Native Americans and Asians.[3]

Then get your marriage out of our laws. Until then, it's a secular institute, which means same sex marriage will have to be legalized across the country eventually. This dragging of feet just lets use thinking people know which politicians to never vote for president.

Too bad, the fruits will be sad that their perverted behavior will not be made legal as a marriage.

Now watch them cry and cry, just like the big babies they are.

If you want control of marriage, get it out of our laws. Tear up your contract, and do not claim it on your taxes. As long as it is in the laws, you will have to allow gay people to participate in the institution just like you had to allow black people to. Keep dragging your feet and you will just ensure that none of your candidates ever get into any political office again. Next generation won't be as diplomatic about things, they will vote all of your candidates out completely if you keep this up. So while it's no skin off my nose, you stand to lose everything.

I like it. It means that men can't do what they want to do. Men can't marry who they want to marry. I love it.

I don't have to allow anything including the fruits getting married, and that also includes a sovereign State.

That is the way it is, and the side that gets the most votes wins. Just like in California and North Carolina that voted against fruit (same sex) marriages. Ultimate power rests with the people.

If only that were true.

There is a difference between a democracy and a democratic republic. A subtle difference but still, a difference.

Constitutional amendments like that are illegal, California's supreme court was smart and eliminated it quickly, if NC does not want to be smart then the federal supreme court will end it for them. Pass a law by popular vote, fine, but you know as well as anyone that the constitutions are not allowed to remove rights from anyone under any circumstance. However, of those nearing voting age, gay marriage is supported by more, so even when you do get these stupid laws passed, you know that you are only going to lose the support of the next generation, and they do outnumber our generations by quite a bit thanks to the bigots pushing gay people so deep into the closet that they actually *gasp* reproduced! Yeah, you all really screwed yourselves up with that one, the more you prevent them from getting equal rights, the more gay people that are born every day because of it.
