Tribute To Our Brothers
On October 23, 1983, we lost our brothers who served in the name of peace. Those who died will be remembered forever-- even if many Americans forget. If we must learn from yesterday, let it begin with those who died in the first terrorist attack against Americans. Forgetting those who died during that time speaks volumes that those who died - the fact that they did not count-- but they did! Every last one of those men who served in the name of peace counted. Do not forget them please -- they are the unspoken Heroes. Their families, though aged over the past 28 years fight to keep their memories alive. They fight for a simple postage stamp but are told that the death of 241 soldiers was not significant enough by members on the stamp decision committee. Flowers, baseball players and Disney characters are significant in our society but men who died are not.
Thank you American citizens for remembering September 11th but please, while you remember this tragic event of terrorism against the United States, please take time to remember 241 additional citizens. Yes- American citizens are soldiers too. Let us never forget that TRUTH!
