DENVER, COWhen the Erickson Living Values Team and the Human Resources Department of Wind Crest retirement community put out an S.O.S. call for clothing donations, residents and staff responded in overwhelming fashion.
The call was to support Dress for Success, a national program aimed at promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
In a two-day collection drive that occurred on February 24th and 25th, Wind Crest residents and staff donated 154 clothing items, including jackets, skirts, pants, blouses, dresses, sweaters, shoes, jewelry and purses.
