Hello,
when I have my periods I always have these leg cramps and less than three weeks ago I was pregnant and started to have leg cramps... three days later I miscarried. This same thing has happened before and my docs say the two (leg cramps and miscarriage) are not related. Has anyone experienced the same thing before??? Please write back

i was almost 16 weeks pregnant and started having sever leg and hip cramps and aches....the week after that i started to bleed and miscarried after seeing and hearing a heartbet and baby. i was wondering the same thing? weird huh? well my research says no...they do not have to do with one another but only you know your body. i do know that phsically i was def. doing too much before hand!

I had the same experience with leg cramps. I had an early miscarriage at 9 weeks along and have leg cramps similar to muscle aches... I don't know if it's from being in stirrups several times when we went to the ER or if it's the Methergone they prescribed... but "leg cramps" were not listed as a possible side effect of the medicine. I did NOT have a D&C because I refused it and the doctor OK'd my decision (just wanted to mention here to others out there: the doctors WILL push that on you, but 95% of women who miscarry are able to naturally miscarry without anything left in the uterus. D&C's increase the chances of having future children, while having your body take it's natural course with the miscarriage has NO effect on your fertility.) But anyways, I've had several friends say they had leg cramps too. I have the same symptoms you guys have had. All these male doctors... you'd think they'd put two and two together if so many of us have had the same experience... lol.

CORRECTION TO MY ABOVE STATEMENT: I meant to say "D&C's increase your chances of having future MISCARRIAGES, while having your body take it's natural course with the miscarriage has NO effect on your fertility, whatsoever" because it's usually a defect in the baby's development, not anything that's wrong with the mother's body or anything she did to cause it.(Unless she's a drug addict, a smoker, or a drunk, of course.)
