Police in North Little Rock arrest former soldier in shooting death of fiancee

A former soldier has been arrested in North Little Rock in the shooting death of his fiancee - who was a high school English teacher.

Joy was truly a very sweet young lady. I am extremely sad to hear the news about her death. Outgoing, funny, sweet, lovely are just some of the words that describe her. I feel so bad for her family and loved ones. She was young lady that I had professional dealings with on several occassions and she was also a friend of my daughter. God bless the Owens family as they cope with the loss of a loved one. I will truly miss Joy!
