I am just curiousdoes anyone know how much money a fire truck uses in fuel when it goes to a fire I know some are farther than others just need a rough estimate for a paper i am writing

Would surmise that gas mileage is pretty bad - in the single digits for sure.

Of course, you then have to figure in that fire trucks spend HOURS idling while at fires.

Then there's the average distance TO a fire.

For a paper, I'd just guesstimate it - who's going to know the difference?
