I didn't grow up on bacon or cat fish or fried chicken. In west Texas. We eat beef. It's patriotic plentiful and promoted. But after 14
Years here and 70 pounds later. I have gone out of the way 3 times to eat at Gus's fried chicken
Have cash. Prepare to wait. The one collierville is much nicer. Glad we are getting that and longhorn here. Yet these new restaurants are sure hurting the mom and pop restaurants Soon. There will not be a locally owned restaurant in the county. The way things are going. That's kind of sad

Catfish, bacon, and chicken are what southern cooking is all about! See around here we can't afford to eat beef thanks to a crooked money hungry beef industry (huh i wonder where those guys live?), Heck we're lucky to have catfish and bacon, most of the rest of the south grew up on beans and cornbread cause we were too dang poor to eat anything else. Blame your extra 70 pounds on Texas and your beloved beef industry and their so called patriotism....patriotic my foot, more like a buch of wealthy fools exploiting the rest of us for monetary gain...

Sincerely,
A Native Oklahoman (go Sooners!)
