can anyone explain why st some job sites there are 1 or maybe 2 people working as overhead?
they people have lost their jobs and the people in the field have been cut wayback... but yet you have south carolina with 3 people as overhead and 20 people in the field... what the hell????
i realize that this company has gone out of their way to create a posistion for shaunna but my god please.... to the point you will keep 3 in the office and the field employees have been cut back to 30 hours. other jobsite have less then 10 employees. yet corporate has cut back no one out of their 180 employees... the peolpe in the field is what makes the money ..... remenber that.... not people like shaunna... she waste it and tom schuecks time..... truth hurts... she is very lazy when it comes to her job and Charlotte and Brian will be better off then they realize that.
Now my husband works in the field in North Carolina and they had 89 employees and he said they have been cut back to 56 or 57 still pretty good getting anywhere from 40-50 hours a week. his boss Tommy has been truly good to the people at schueck... he is sturn at sometimes and has a policy to come to work and be on time.... nothing wrong with that, but he is fair... but yet my husband said that 2 weeks ago corp. sent shaunna down to do some training in the office and out of 5 days she came in late 2 the rumor she overslept.... What is up with that, does the office people get specail treatment??? or just shaunna?? and why??
HAs some one said something to Mr. Beckley that she is different. I even heard she has talked crap about the other office epmloyees and Mr. Beckley and has gotten some very ugly rumors started.... well there is a big handfull of employees there who like tommy beckley and have been to shutdowns at other places including me and my husband and he loves working in north carolina for Tommy.....
in mondays meeting we have foubd out that his wife has been laid off to. she worked in the office. why and how come with almost 60 people working there.... mr. beckley said it was out of his hands... what the hell happened? she was a very good employee and everyone liked her.. my husband has been there a while and said she coud get the job done and on time. he told me that Nucor loved her... so explain why she was let go and yet their is 3 in SC????
don;t make sense
i suggest evryone backs off Mr. beckley and let him do his job he is a great boss and does alot for the community..... and every time he does he tells everyone NONE OF THIS COULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT TOM SCHUECK..... THATS WHO WE ALL NEED TO THANK......

is that person a drunken employee because they told the truth about Shaunna or maybe not everyone has bad things to say about Mr. Beckley.....

WOW! You GOOGLE your companys name and find somthing like this! How proud we must be to be in the same company as people who are more worried about whats going on in SC than at your home plant! Everybody know the economy is really bad right now and ALL of us are fealing it. Our 5 people who are on overhead dont even work a full week! they along with our Supervisors are rotating days just to keep everybody working. Our foremans are splitting their time with their crew just to make 32hrs. Hell, even our Superintendant is working 32. Not because we have to, we are all just trying to get through it together. He could lay half of us off and probably survive with 10 of us, but would that put more money in your pocket? As far as Shaunna goes i havnt known her that long but she seems to be a really nice girl and mabye if she's still here she must not be that bad at what she does. SO... lets stop the bashing and lets all pull through this together and lets hope nobody whos looking at us as a customer reads this and see's how childish some of these comments sounds!

the rumors are the hours might be cut back anyways.. as far as shaunna you will feel different when you pull the knife out of your back one day... she is there because she is a snitch.....
what does that say about having 5 people as overhead?
will they not pay for the valued employees like they do at other sites?
that says alot on its own....
so drain every dime in overhead?
is that fair to Tom Schueck?
or the other hundreds of employees that was laid off?

Sad when his own boss Johnny runs him down at other jobsites... But hell he does it about everyone, funny part is from what i have heard they have worried about tommy and how he runs NC but I understand they have much bigger problems in corporate with stacy garrity and another employee get caught during working hours in the fab shop screwing a married man !!!!! so again they need to be concerned about other things.. tommy can be a hard ass but he does know what he is doing i have known him for many years and i have no issues with him or his work... he came along way in this company and johnny needs to quit with his bullshit .....

I can't believe the bullshit that has been posted on here !!!!! I get a email telling me to look at this site.... I see my husbands name and the company he works for.. I am the one who is suppose to be the asshole and really dont care what anybodys opinion is... I disagree with trashing anyone on here !!!! I have people I dont like and that dont like me but that is called " LIFE " .... No matter what we think of the company , Johnny, Tommy, Stevie H. or who ever else is up here does not give anyone the right to talk negative about them.....
Who cares what any of us have down. WE all have made mistakes in our lives...
Why can't this site be used for positive things...
So here goes !!!!!
Mr. Schueck I apologize for the postings that are on this website... Tommy and I appreciate all you have down for our family... It has been a very tough year for everyone but hopefully things will pick back up. Bottom line we are grateful for everything you have down.....
Maybe we will not see anymore bullshit up here and if so they will have the balls to post their name... I suggest if you have a problem with any of these people you contact them and not post it !!!!! Its semms with all that is going on we would use our time more wisely !!!!!!!
With that said " I also want to thank Gene, Ellery, and Johnny for having faith in Tommy " I worked with some really great people in the corporate office and I miss them truly ...

15 years ago I drank to much and was not the model employee for Schueck Steel, or any other company that I worked for at that time.
It was not because I did not show up for work, or show up late because I was there ever day on time for as long as the job at hand required.(once it even seemed like three days when the electrodes fell all the way to the ground floor.)
I never got out of the trade of construction, I just worked closer to home and a lot less because of my kids.
As I seem to recall Tom Schueck, and Ellery May were pretty decent to me, and as jobs come and go so do the people who man them up.
Now 15 years later I drink occasionaly, I don't do drugs and I even quit smoking.
I am going to rejoin the work force and go back out on the road, I am checking in with Schueck Steel as well as other past employers to see if they are hiring.
Millwright-Ironworker-pipefitt er-structural welder-operator. Fully tooled up and fully geared up.

I've worked for schueck steel ,if you do your job they are a great company to be with the pay isn't the best but atleast they are not like deem steel and have boarder jumpers if you work in the usa pay taxes and the work place is for work not to get laid

yes they have boarder jumpers to, illegal random drug test being done on site, not reporting recordables, over billing hours to nucor, and many other things , more drama than a soap, nucor will see

I currently am employed for schueck steel the company does have low pay and make it hard to advance it's not work productivity based pretty much if they like you your set I do not like how upper foreman supervisors superintendents can treat there employees so poorly and expect great results they will yell at you curse you like a dog and work the Shit out of you while doing nothing and being late and missing as much as they want with no consequence while I've seen ppl get suspended fired etc for very few offenses or them even holding agreed upon absences tardiness or early outs against ppl when they "are passed off and want to be an ass" if it applies to one it should apply to all but it doesn't it just depends on how well your liked also isn't illegal to degrade yell and curse at your employees? Yes I thought so but that doesn't matter either if they want a fair successful company they need to make things be done fairly and properly but I don't see that happening so I'm seeking further better more fairly treated and respected workplace I do not enjoy being treated like garbage which it saddens me to see it happen to other ppl as well as I have grown somewhat of a worker friendship bond with a lot of employees
