Each an every day we see cops stop cars for speeding & write people tickets. Well, it is just wrong to say the other driver did not yeild the right away. This much may be true, but if the horry county police office had not been speeding he would have reached the location of impact at a different time. And just a few seconds can save a persons life. A the person who died was someones child. So no one got a ticket does this make it right? Put that in your pipe an smoke it.

In most states the law is that no matter how fast someone is going, you do not have the right to pull out in front of them. If you have visual impairments, cannot turn your head enough to look, or your brain was simply not able to figure out that the car was traveling at a high rate of speed does not matter. You are just not allowed to pull out in front of anyone. That being said, it is also true that police and rescue must have their emergency light and sirens turned on and there must be an official need for them to travel at a rate above the speed limit. Off duty and personal does not count. If he was in fact going more than 20 miles over the speed limit, then it would be a different story. He should be charged with reckless driving if that was the case and if they can prove it.
