I say let them open also. I don't understand what changed. If they stopped renovating and could without permits then what does that have to do with opening the strip? What have missed here?

I say reopen the drag strip! It would give local racers a legal place to go run their cars without wasting time driving to nearest strip which would be Darlington, when you have one locally. I honestly don't see anything wrong with the reopening. I could see where residents are concerned but they are only coming up with minor problems were as the positives out weighs the negatives. It would almost be like saying shut down the upcoming Hard Rock Theme Park. The Drag Strip will no doubt about it bring economic value to the surrounding area with the expense of some noise and traffic. But you get that everywhere.
