This happened on Wednesday the 14th.
It was in the news that night.
It isn't something that was hidden from view.

GO! Elizabeth Warren... GO!

Liz Warren... such a tool. If I had been one of the requlators asked such an open simplistic question. I would have asked in return "Do you have anyone specific in mind or would just anyone do?" If Mizz Warren actually had anyone in mind it would have been interesting, but this was just a "show trial" to be seen by low information folks and "enhance" her "reputation".

Are we still galloping a full speed toward the international financial meltdown?
Runaway inflation?
Government Mind Control?

If given a choice...
to be a cynic, a paranoid, or an optimist...

I'd say it would be an easy call.
[HECK! The Optimists even have a club!]

Naturally, the one you are prone to be is the one you think is the best choice.

Yeah, it was called the Nazi Party. They though if they got rid of armed populations and races of people all would be well.

Another reason the regulators "squirmed" was because this was just a show for low information people. The question asked is the kind of question that cannot be simply answered without looking either, guilty, or uninformed. Its a question like this "When did you stop beating your wife?" Think of the possible responses to that question and think of the questions asks of the regulators. It was all for show.

Hey now, let's be more optimistic. In fact, these regulators have our best interests at heart and are not swayed by money or political influence. They won't let the big guys take advantage of us again. Why don't you trust the government? Here, take a drag of this and just relax. Everything will be fine.

Just a historical note PV...one of the principal political disfunctions of Weimar Germany leading the rise of the Nazi party was that ALL the radical fringe parties , including the Nazis, and some of the major paries had armed gangs of political supporters disrupting the political process. Due to the Versailles Treaty loimitations on the size of the formal miiltary, Weimar Germany's civilian population was the most heavily armed in Europe. Hitler's Brownshirts weren't the only armed political force.
