It had better be, for what they paid for it. Does it have stuff for older kids like the old one did? Uknow, bars and rings and stuff?

It has bar? Excellent. I can get loaded while junior plays on the swings.

A state of the art top of the line playground for an underperforming school. Sounds about right.

I don't think that is quite true. I believe that donations were maybe 20% or 30% of the total, and that Clete tapped taxpayer-funded sources for the rest. But I may be wrong ...

Does it make you happy to bash people? I pity you.

Benton Hall Academy, located in Little Falls, New York, is a public elementary school in the Little Falls City School District. It has received a GreatSchools Rating of 5 out of 10, based on its performance on state standardized tests. http://www.greatschools.org/new-york/little-f...

Webster Middle School is a public elementary school in the Webster School District. Based on its state test results, it has received a GreatSchools Rating of 3 out of 10. http://www.greatschools.org/massachusetts/web...

Perhaps your community should pull together and try to get something nice built for your kids, huh?

You are wrong. All, yes, all of the money was donated.

It looks great and state of the art for children to play on.
Great work with the school and the community working together for a common goal.

They received a small grant and the rest was donated.

Haha. Here we go again. Our school rates a 5 out of ten and you're bragging about that. Welcome to mediocre central aka Little Falls, NY. Where being average is just good enough.

From the article: "With the community’s support, the district was able to raise the necessary $125,000 to purchase the equipment, have it professional installed and complete the site work."

Nowhere does it break out the sources of the funding. I really have a hunch that much of that money came from tax-payer supported sources. Not that that is a bad thing. But Clete is too good at raising money to sit on the street corner with a tin cup. He goes where the real money is at, and that is usually the governmental entities. Check it out ... like I said, I may be wrong ... but I doubt it.

Agree but it's not in the school budget either unless buried in another line item.

You are indeed wrong. Do your homework, which you've probably never done. NOT 1 thin dime of the tax payers money was used. Clete is too good at his job to waste $$$ and there certainly is barely enough for what the children do require. There will be a plaque and the donors have been listed already. We live in a very caring community when it comes to the kids. STOP being so negative and appreciate what God and good people do.

There is plenty of money to spend on the children. Instead it is being spent on benefits packages that are totally out of the realm of reality. The total compensation packages of teaches is positively disgusting. Did you know that fringes almost equal salary for NYS teachers? So essentially we have teachers making 150k in total compensation.

Ok. Now all the high and mighty educators can attack me for wanting to deny Johnny the basics. Let's hear it. That is their answer to every little threat to the death grip they have on taxpayers.
