A republican James Blake is challenging Seward. The incumbent has been in office for 26 years (a quarter of century). Our leadership has lead us to wait for solutions to come our way from Albany. Waiting for "Top-down" solutions (Albany- based) and really what do we have to show for it? Manufacturing jobs are down 50% in the past 20 years! How many people are leaving your town for better opportunities elsewhere? It is time for "bottom-up" solutions. Local Solutions for local problems.

James Blake is running an extremely grassroots/people-led campaign focused on commonsense solutions. He is showing it can be done without big bucks. He lives in a rural community, knows what it takes to survive. It is time for a fresh set of ideas to tackle the new problems we are facing. Time to revitalize our communities.
